Available forms are limited by HD cap and creature type as defined in the spell (Polymorph form HD limit=CL, max 15; Shapechange form HD limit=2*CL, max 50).

Size limits per the spell.

Your type and subtype change to match the new form and you lose your own. You gain most features (good and bad) outlined in the type/subtype descriptions. You do not gain senses like darkvision (since they are SQs) or proficiency with manufactured arms and armor (since those are learned). Shapechange does provide senses.

Born in the Void (General)
When your whole life has been spent on ships in the void, you are naturally better at things on a spelljammer ship.
   Prerequisites: Spent most of life on ships and small planets in the void.
   Benefit: You gain a +2 bonus to the following skills, which are always class skills for you: Knowledge (Spelljamming), Rope Use. and Survival (only when in the Phlo or Void).

The only change is removing the automatic languages.
