First Thoughts on Characters

Everyone now has their exiting character, work on making sure those characters are up to date as I work on the secondary character options.

This will pick up in Coustus of 818.  That is the first month of the year.  It starts during the down time in Ermaneo after your return from the Iottian prison, but before the trip to Tafferville and the Great Forest.

If this is the first time they have been used in the 4th era, then no, whatever their listed level is at the end of their story is what you should use.  If they have been used in the 4th era, then yes.

The race for you new character can be almost anything from any world.

Everyone will bring an existing higher level character.

Then, everyone will have 1 or 2 1st level characters.

Those characters can be anything, but unique races are limited to one each.  (some chosen races include Giff, Kender, and Dohwar).

If you chose to roll three d6 with no re-rolls for your characters in front of the other players, you get to start with a powerful magical item.  If you chose to roll them in order as well, you get two magical items.

Character can be planet based or spelljammer based.

Higher level existing characters are irrelevant for race and class when choosing the low level characters.

Unless otherwise stated, new characters have all their memories and realize that they were kidnapped and taken far away.  Re'alph and his agents weren't concerned with convert action.

If you are picking a character from a known world outside of habolsphere, you should have some knowledge of that place.  If you have never read any Dragonlance book, probably not a good idea to pick someone from krynn.

We will pick up with the characters from Habololy boarding the ship in Ermaneo.

We are hopefully two days away from embarking on a spelljamming adventure.  18 characters of widely disproportionate levels venturing into one of the most unforgiving environments D&D has to offer, what could go wrong...

For those of you that were taken by Re'Alph, which includes at least one character for each player, the gnomes rescued you while in transport to Habololy.  The Giff and the sea elf made it to Habololy, so this isn't for them.

Those rescued are told by the gnomes that they will be returned to their home when it is possible, but for now, they have to help the gnomes out on board their ships.  If anyone disagrees with their offer, or outright refuses, we can play that out individually.
