RECAP
Well, Breach considered taking the entire complex down, but once his plan of removing one specific load-bearing rock was revealed, we quickly realized it wasn't going to happen. His confidence overshadowed his ability in this instance (natural 1). What we did end up doing was methodically searching the prison complex. We spent hours memorizing helpful spells then walking around each floor and going door to door to check on things. We were sidetracked briefly by a trapped room where a powerful enchantment lured Ezra and Figment into some sort of illusion that compelled them to spend time in this room. Akrah was able to rescue them by dragging them out physically after a while. Due to her overwhelming willpower, she never succumbed to the enchantment.
We gathered our bearings and pressed on. Ezra spent time jamming doors just in case those creatures were laying in wait to ambush us. We made our way to a spiral staircase that led us down to a level consisting of prison cells. We found several vents and stuffed them with tables and furniture found in other rooms. We used a floating disk to carry the furniture. Eventually, we ended up finding ten prisoners in cells. None of them were Taye, but they were all subdued by some sort of enchantment that keeps them in a perpetual dream state.
We stumbled upon one prisoner, a Drow, who managed to break free from the trance and explain that he was having a nightmare about "running from a metal winged Elf in the Underdark" before waking in the cell. He has no recollection of how he got here. We fed him and loaned him some mundane weapons after he was noted as not being evil by Akrah. He agreed to come with us but warned us about the creatures stating they tend to come out during feeding times to attempt to steal food from the unseen servants. He mentioned we were real close to feeding time, so we decided to regroup on a safer floor without vents and wait out the feeding frenzy.
In our search, we came across a dumb waiter capable of carrying us all, so we used that to ascend to a higher floor. While doing so, we noticed there was a selection of two more lower levels that we still need to explore. It stands to reason that Taye is on one of these floors. We asked Taye to make a lot of noise once we arrived on the first level of cells, but couldn't hear him, so we must continue the search. The Drow mentioned he could hear us from his cell and, thus, hid under his bed from us originally. This gave us hope that Taye may actually be able to hear us once we get to the proper floor where his cell is kept.
We left off with us finding a reasonably safe room to hole up and re-strategize. The Drow mentioned that feedings only take about 15 minutes, so we should be able to see and/or hear the creatures shuffle off back to their hiding spots once the unseen servants are done making their rounds.
