RECAP
Well, Breach considered taking the entire complex down, but once his plan of removing one specific load-bearing rock was revealed, we quickly realized it wasn't going to happen. His confidence overshadowed his ability in this instance (natural 1). What we did end up doing was methodically searching the prison complex. We spent hours memorizing helpful spells then walking around each floor and going door to door to check on things. We were sidetracked briefly by a trapped room where a powerful enchantment lured Ezra and Figment into some sort of illusion that compelled them to spend time in this room. Akrah was able to rescue them by dragging them out physically after a while. Due to her overwhelming willpower, she never succumbed to the enchantment.

We gathered our bearings and pressed on. Ezra spent time jamming doors just in case those creatures were laying in wait to ambush us. We made our way to a spiral staircase that led us down to a level consisting of prison cells. We found several vents and stuffed them with tables and furniture found in other rooms. We used a floating disk to carry the furniture. Eventually, we ended up finding ten prisoners in cells. None of them were Taye, but they were all subdued by some sort of enchantment that keeps them in a perpetual dream state.

We stumbled upon one prisoner, a Drow, who managed to break free from the trance and explain that he was having a nightmare about "running from a metal winged Elf in the Underdark" before waking in the cell. He has no recollection of how he got here. We fed him and loaned him some mundane weapons after he was noted as not being evil by Akrah. He agreed to come with us but warned us about the creatures stating they tend to come out during feeding times to attempt to steal food from the unseen servants. He mentioned we were real close to feeding time, so we decided to regroup on a safer floor without vents and wait out the feeding frenzy.

In our search, we came across a dumb waiter capable of carrying us all, so we used that to ascend to a higher floor. While doing so, we noticed there was a selection of two more lower levels that we still need to explore. It stands to reason that Taye is on one of these floors. We asked Taye to make a lot of noise once we arrived on the first level of cells, but couldn't hear him, so we must continue the search. The Drow mentioned he could hear us from his cell and, thus, hid under his bed from us originally. This gave us hope that Taye may actually be able to hear us once we get to the proper floor where his cell is kept.

We left off with us finding a reasonably safe room to hole up and re-strategize. The Drow mentioned that feedings only take about 15 minutes, so we should be able to see and/or hear the creatures shuffle off back to their hiding spots once the unseen servants are done making their rounds.

Note that portions of this group did encounter a dream state metal winged Drow before. Found the thread but it’s not very informative as to who he was or why he harassed us:

Looks like the following session had some reveals about the dream sequence and there is an entry for it in the campaign log on the broken Habololy website.

I dug it out of an internet archive:

Young New World Season 2, Session 16: Hugs for Everyone, Except Maybe Damien (12/1/817 to 17/1/817)
Gathering the day after the dream sequence, the group discusses what they all remember. Realizing they don't have enough knowledge about dreams to figure out what happened, they decide to go into Tas-tio-Horari and talk to the clerics. They decide on a list of temples to visit and head that way, which Damien someone reluctant and coming and going as they are in the city. Yoshi goes to the temple of the Old Orc and stays there most of the next few days.

Akrah is accosted by children once they realize she is harmless and becomes a walking stuffed bear toy. The others, soon after accompanied by her, first the locations of several temples and decide first to go to the temple of Arsur'Anyodel where they are fortunate to meet Tomi the cleric who knows a lot about dreams. For a day, they stay at the Moon Tower temple and she instructs they and prays over them to determine what is happening. She educates them on Retrick, the divine power of the dreamscape and as best she can on how the dreamscape works. She finds that some of them have a magic sensor that allows them to be found in the dreamscape and she removes it. Before they leave, she reveals that she had been an adventurer in her youth and hands them some items she no longer needs.

The next two days the group spends in the cities resting and waiting for the ship to leave. On the last day, they Damien does not come to dinner and they find out that he has been arrested for poisoning Sama. They go to the temple of Quan Yin where he is being held and learn that he will be held for longer than they have before the ship leaves. Tomi also arrives and wishes them well, handing them some ioun stones to help them on their quest. Oz and Gareth decide to go to the ship, and Akarh and Taye join them. Osric and Yoshi debate whether to stay and help Damien.

Good find Hero! I read through that thread and had forgotten that this group had experienced similar issues with Retrick's nonsense. We don't have all members of that previous group with us, but enough to make a connection.

Oz becomes deeply concerned as he begins to remember some of the details of his dream-induced ordeal. He tends to the Drow's condition as we regroup and prepare to continue our search for Taye.

awake in Dehli!

Nice recap.  Thanks.
Sad I missed this one, and will mix the next.
The place is the gift that keeps giving.  More friends, more puzzels..   Wonder if all those sleepers are being tourtured by the dreamscape experiment.

Laz passes Breach a note when we get on the dumb waiter. He also slings his pike and gets out his flail.

When we get into the entryway we have to tie up the Drow and the elf. Can’t risk them leaving. Can’t trust Drow and both might be infected. You knock out and I’ll tie up.

Where are we going to settle to wait out feeding time? Are we going out to the entryway or hiding out in the labs on the first level?
