I don't know exactly how long I've been here, nothing happens to let me know how time has passed.  But we left the republic in the summer of 816.

"Although I prefer Wirlpakura, you can call me Wirl.  Wind Streaker if you must. I'm not from Iott, so I don't' know a lot about the nation.  I can help you fly and defend you from attacks.  I can detect some dangers nearby.  Creatures of the dark earth and some lower planes are my main foes.  What skills do you have?"

Does it know if these contagious creatures beyond the walls have any weaknesses?

"None in particular.  They are changed a but from when we fought them centuries ago, and even then they were formidable.  They don't regenerate, which my friends have always said is one of the greatest challenges to deal with when fighting beasts.  They can't be hidden from, they are extremely quick.  They can't be deceived by magic and their minds are impervious to telepathy.  They can climb like spiders, but they can't fly."

"We came in the main door here and never had the need or the chance to find any other entrances or exits"

"It used to be longer, if I recall correctly.  But Kara and I had less than a day out here before..."

"No.  Do you ever get dizzy flying around?"

"I pick my friends based on their quality."
