"I am not sure I understand.  Do you mean what dangers exist in the north?  It is not patrolled by Iott, so you are in little danger of the authorities discovering you.  But it is a wild, uncivilized land."

I was concerned that whatever had caused Iott to abandon it might still pose a threat.  There are still islands where few dare to go for fear what once and may still dwell there. Why else would a nation as mighty as Iott not reclaim its own lands before seeking to expand its influence?

Sailoswa is the entry point to Iott for the majority of visitors, and as such has a lot of things to see and is designed to convey a sense of impressiveness and awe at what magic can accomplish.  The things you see are impressive and make you wonder at points how Iott could have lost any war if this is the way their people live and the things they can do.

No one you see is not obviously a foreigner is wearing armor and very few have a visible weapon that is not a baton or staff.

Rano says "If magic stood it up, then likely magic is the only thing that can bring it down."

OOC: I'm sure Breach will gladly take the Pepsi challenge on that statement and find way to crumble it in the most mundane way possible.

Does anyone do anything other than follow Tavis to the northern edge of the city (opposite from where the harbor is).

We're trying to maintain a low profile, so I suggest we follow quietly and quickly.

While Terlus is content and can easily do that; Vechi and his horse stand out of the crowd.  Vechi does lead his horse, as there are very few being ridden as you travel through the city.

I'm pretty sure we stand out in any crowd. We're quite the motley crew.

Iwakasi keeps an eye out for anyone who seems to take more than a passing interest in their group as they move through the city, but otherwise keeps silent unless directly questioned.

Jesse, now that they are in Iott is looking more and more uncomfortable and can be heard mumbling about how he should have kept up with some of his other studies.

Plenty of people watch you, no one for a length of time that concerns you.

Figment of course stands out since it is a brightly colored flying creature.  He flitters around and ask lots of questions and is fascinated by all the  magical architecture.

Wake,  calm walks does not make much sound and looks around to see if we are being watched.  ( I know you already answered that question)

While we are walking and listening to Tavis explain, as much as he does, about how magic works in Iott, Jesse will use his Innate Spell ability to cast Mage Armor on himself (Innate Spell Feat, Still/Silent/Invisible meta magics applied so there are no verbal or somatic components and there is no visual effect from the spell) to see if it works.

Assuming you don't have an Iottian ring, nothing happens.
