Is Kara's corpse wearing an Iottian ring?

Rano asks Wirlpakura if he knows if any of Kara's travelling companions were wearing Iottian rings.

No, none needed them and we spent little time in Iott proper.

Oz pipes in: "Mine seemed to work okay...well, until I was swallowed whole that is..."

I should note that both Oz and Figment remember getting engulfed and then nothing.

Do you explain what is happening to Vechi?

Breach makes sure both Oz and Figment know how he wrestled the magical bullete construct so hard it evaporated.

Directed to Laz when he goes outside.

Laz tells Vechi- “There are some sort of monsters inside that reproduce by infecting their prey. After we go in you’ll have to seal us in. Come inside at dawn, noon and sunset tomorrow. If it’s safe for you to open the door we’ll bang on the inside with a hammer. If we don’t come back, go and find the wizard that met us in Sailoswa and tell him this place needs to be destroyed.”

When Laz comes back in he is wearing half-plate that is adorned with shark’s teeth and the shark jaw cowl now has a visor and mandible.

“I have four potent healing potions and two neutralize poisons, plus one of each I’m keeping on my person. Based on what we know we should spread out similar items so that if one of you goes down we don’t lose everything. That goes for scrolls, wands, magic arrows or anything else you can spare.”

“Sword- how do you know if a person is infected with a larva? Did your clerics know if there was a way to kill the larva if caught right away? We seem to have paladins; they can do things with disease.”

Vechi listens and then says, "Wait, what?"  He then goes inside and confirms the story with the rest of you.

"The only way I know of is that the person starts to feel it consuming them from the inside.  I am sure some divinations would tell you as well.  I don't know a way that doesn't kill the person..." long pause.  "But I am not a healer or physician."

What do these larva look like? You mentioned the size of a gremlin, but how do they…enter?…a body to infect a person?  All of the options I’m imagining seem like the person would notice.

Laz turns to the clerics and paladins (or everyone he thinks is a cleric or paladin): “We need an answer to this before we go in. Not knowing if there is a cure is the same as there not being a cure.”

You don't see anything, but all of the consumable parts of the body are gone...so whatever might have been there might been gone as well.
