We have proof that the bodies have been taken down into the caves.  We either leave this maladomini and go home, or we get down there now. As soon as we can, because we know that 6 of those monsters are growing in those prisoners and we should attack before that completes.

I vote we go now, Take Rano's things and use them ( hint ) to give him a proper burial.

Was this stuff found before or after Esra left? If before, he gathers the coin and adds it to the raise dead fund.

Laz says: This is an easy decision. If the wizards can make us a passage that we can walk or run in and out of this place then we can go finish this off. If they can’t we leave.

Shape Stone doesn't allow one to destroy or create stone.  So if the tunnel is ~2' round, then the stairs while stair shaped will still only be 2' tall.

If you want something that is easy to go up and down (and fast), it will be significantly longer than the 100 feet, which is straight down.

The spell says stone or stone object, 10, +1cu/ft per level, so I think you can reshape the tunnel. The stone would just flow out into this hallway. That being said, at around 18 cu/ft a level we are going to need a bunch of of them to make a tunnel we can safely fight in.

OOC- I think passwall is what we are looking for.
