The turret is part of the city gate which has a garrison and all the provisions you need.

Ok, I start getting blanks for the men.  I don't know how to cook so unless there are some MRE's they'll have to feed themselves....

I re-activate skate and go to collect blankets, and food from the constable guard post.  Moving at 220

The situation remains very chaotic. The shrine is heavily damaged and the first  order is to move everyone away from the facade. A male ice gnome who appears injured is giving most of the orders. The man in the blue cloak and the cleric of Han-Sui speak with each other until hearing Vasili call for aid. Then they step through a dimension door to the top of the wall.

Vasili finds the door from the outside, where he entered has it's lock broken. It looks like it was frozen and shattered. The two men arrive and the cleric begins checking the men.
"They will live. They need blankets and food more than anything" he says.

A bit of unfinished business before we move on:  When Vasili enters the Gate House Turret he finds 12 men, all human, unconscious.  The temperature in the turret is even colder than outside and takes your breath away for a moment but it appears to very slowly be equalizing with the outside air.  The men appear otherwise unharmed but the two ballista and the 16 siege crossbows all appear damaged and inoperable.

I spot around for some evidence.  Random.org me a 11 + 6 = 17 total.  I also do a search  Random.org 17 + 6 = 24.

I also call for assistance of the clerics...

Good start. At a minimum you must do the following before Tuesday:  review the things you wanted to do that were posted before the file was completely posted and decide which if any of them you still want to ask for/ undertake AND you must have a plan of what you will do at the beginning of the session.

I will post xp when these have been done.

Any response to my request for any crime reports the constablitory has on any of the deceased companies?

Yes, true.

To everyone else in the group (all who have some supernatural ability), "Do you have a quick and safe way to melt ice and snow?"

Vasili suggests.."Pee seems very safe and effective" but beyond that no.

Has anyone come out with a long term forecast?  Farmers' almanac style.  Do they think its going to be a long cold winter?  Is it going to get warm enough to melt some of this before the sub freezing winter takes hold?

Visili hisses that someone is wasting time worrying about the weather, when we have a case to solve....it's not our job...

Vasili assume the constablatory has some sort of filing system for old warrents, reports, etc.  I start there, collecting everything on stormmoon businesses and personal matters.

I pull all the files we have on the stormmoon businesses.  I specifically look for criminal activities or oddities in their recent history.  Maybe some corruption, or even some regular pattern of break-ins etc....  I also pull their financial records, if such a thing is kept.

"Should we review that here?  In the barracks?  I suppose traveling to another location in this weather is not productive."

"Is anyone here opposed to disguises?  Since we may need to go undercover to investigate.  Speaking of which, has anyone here ever investigated before?"

I don't have anywhere else to go in the city to review this case.  I can't afford a apartment, and a bar/inn could be busy, crowded and noisy with the weather like it is.    I'll comment on the disguises on a case by case basis.  Once I obtain my goal, i won't really have to enter anyplace to investigate.  No, i have never investigated as part of my job before.  However I did prove my sister was sneaking out with her lover, and other non professional matters.

Subdual Unconscious / Re: What can you do when..
« on: September 13, 2011, 08:02:35 PM »
After re-reading the rules for subdual damage, we have been doing something technically incorrect.  If a character has taken a combined amount of subdual and real damage equal to their total hit points, then they are supposed to be allowed to take move actions until their real damage equals their total hp.

We have played in the past that they are unconscious.  Should we stay with what we have been doing, or change the rule to its original way?

A note that it would not have changed the past tournaments, as you are basically out of a fight when you are reduced to move only.

I like what the rule actually says. You are so beat up, all you can do is stumble away.  Makes sense.. I say change it.

"Vassilli, Udarik, Ramsey; can any of you send messages over distance?"

Vasili says "No, I lack the needed concentration"

I ask the sergeant, "Will are living quarters be similar in Phiam?"

Vasili perks up... And how about your mission?
