Pitlit lists for you three possible noble families that you can visit.
The first is High Noble Lord Samuel D'iago. His family has the largest ranch estate in the nation and is the 3rd oldest noble family, dating back one thousand years. None dare typically venturing on his lands, which are to the south near the border of the hills and closest to the so called Southern Kingdom.
The second is City Noble Lord Andrew Maximillion. His family has been the lords of the city of Meldrage for more than five hundred years. His control of the city is impressive and there is little likelihood you will be threatened there. Meldrage has a diverse population of humanoids and orcs.
The third is the Landed Noble Trent Agoday. His family has been nobility for several generations. Their land is in the central plains and while they have a small territory, they have some of the finest structures in any noble land. It is centrally located, so getting to other locations will be the fastest from there.
Feel free to ask questions about your choices.

Which is closest? Do any of them have a special affiliation, i.e. religion or cult? Knights or wizards etc? Are any of them attempting to advance their own claim to the throne?
-
Chasker says " Which noble's lands would put us closer to the cult of the democrates.. It would be easier to strike at them if they are close. "
-
Which is closest?
D'iago and Agoday are about the same distance, one southwest on northwest.
-

None are theocratic noble families.
-
Knights or wizards etc?
The Maximillions are known to be psions.
The Agodays scholars.
The D'iagos rangers.

My guess would the the Agoday estate.
-
Are any of them attempting to advance their own claim to the throne?
The Agodays have no claim.
The D'iago would have long ago attempted if they did have aspirations.
The Maximillion have in the past.

If none of these want the crown, maybe we should just sell our services. Whomever pays us the most up front we will help become the king. Feels like something an amatin gnome would do!

I concur with Chasker. "I ain't in this for your revolution Prince. I'm in it for the money. I expect to be well paid."

Elliot scratches his head. "Um, maybe i missed something. But didn't Pitlit say that one of the ways to bring down these 'demo-krats' or whatever was to make sure the Cult of Wandle, back in the islands, is taken down? That the Wandle worshipers have a treaty with the 'krats' and that to take down the cult will embarrass the 'krats' and help the movement to get them out of power here in Yellowia. We have unfinished business in the islands. Whoever we approach should have access to ships that can take us across the sea and back to the islands, but on our terms."

OOC: Is the cult we're after Wandle? I must've missed that last week. In any case, (back into character), "You didn't miss anything. We're heading back to the islands to kill some cultists, but now there's more interested parties involved. I just want to make it clear that I expect to be well compensated for my efforts. Breach has his own agenda, but it lends well to my profit for bounty hunting outlook on life."

There was probably a miscommunication with those online.
The cults in Kathow that were referenced were the ones that Breach at el are after, those with the Horarian style names and the jade symbols.
Wandle was brought up by I believe Chaster as a cult during the conversation, so I see how cults in Kathow area would have gotten confused.
There is no evidence that Wandle is involved.

Okay, that's what I thought. Different cults, presumably from old school Horarian history off world. Nonetheless, my stance remains the same; stabby stabby = $

Which family would be best in figuring out who the cultist are? That way we know who we need to kill before the put any other pathetic towns under their rule.

Pitlit answers, "The Maximillion family are known Psssionsss, that isss an asssset in gathering information."
"The D'iago are more reclusive and would have little information outssside their lands."
"The Agodaysssss are sssscholarsss, so they would know written and hissstorical knowledge."
-
Yeah.. I said cult of amat, but only cause it seems to make you mainlanders nervous for some reason.
Right, we need to root out the Long Wang, and Gwon You!
-
Let's get this decision made before we start the next vignette, while it is fresh in everyone's mind.
Ask questions and vote (abstain is fine just let me know.)
-
I vote for Maximillion family because they can best help us find out where the cultist are so we can slaughter them
-
Given the choices, Maximillian's seem the best.
-
The Maximillian family is probably our best choice given our circumstances
-
That's three votes for the Maximillion family. Anyone else have thoughts?

Maximillion is fine with me. They seem like they have deep pockets.
-
Are they all equally trustworthy? We’ve already experienced Yellowian nobles selling us out for personal gain.

If this is asked of Pitlit, he responds, "They are all equal in trust that they do not want the return of a governor and the rule of democracy."
-
Ok, we know the good guys. Do we know the bad guys. Who wants the democrats to return and regain power? Who are their agents, besides the Jade crew.

"Mossssstly thossssse not of the nobility. Thossssse that benefitted from the governor and Iott'ssss rule."
-
I vote for the Agoday’s. They have no claim on the throne, are nearest to us and are scholars.
-
Horatio and Breach...
-
Either way.. we know that the cults of Long Wang, and Gwon You are interfering and should be stopped.
-

I’m going to the Agoday’s. At least to start. We need information on the origin of these cults first. We’ll see where that leads us.
I am suspicious of the psion family and their previous political ambition. Grand Father Haas teaches that if you know your opponent is a skilled wrestler, you should avoid engaging him in a grappling match.
-
If it makes it easier, Sss'Sss will go along with any plan of action at this point. It doesn't matter what family we visit first as long as he gets paid. Ultimately, we'll likely end up visiting them all at some point anyway.

Chasker ponders this. " I think you have it backwards, if someone is a skilled wrestler wouldn't you want him on your side. We'd be working with the Psions..not against them.

I think you misunderstand me. I did not ask for your opinion.
