are the herbs/drugs medicinal or "medicinal".  Jesse might be able to use them either way in our current situation.

No disrespect to the dead, but Rano asks if he could have 2400 worth of GP/gems to help him in his archery quest. He's been studying Wake's energy bow in his downtime and has discovered the means in which to create one for himself (thanks to leveling up). The only prereq he doesn't meet at this point is the monetary one. This is assuming we survive the face huggers, of course.

Both, but he's not around to tell you!

Esra says: “Death is a temporary set back for those with sufficient wealth. I have their coin and gems set aside so that we could resurrect them once we get out of here.”

Note that it wasn’t obvious when Esra came into possession of their money.

Laz bellows Run! and sprints in the direction we last thought we heard the Taye tapping. He looks as he runs for a defensible position.

Akrah steps forward, growing larger.  " I managed swarms of little bugbears at home, flee if you must " she turns to Ozrick " I am immune to Ahhvokation.. douse me in your explosive fire.. " as she moves towards the swarm.

Leave it to Akrah to find the nicest way to call Laz a pussy...

Jesse positions himself between Akrah and the hallway behind us.  "Good thought Laz, but we're not going to be able to outrun this.  The fastest of us should try to find Tae.  Fast.  The rest of us will hold them off as best we can."  Jesse casts Bless on everyone in a 50' radius.  "Take the Drow.  He's a lockpick.  Maybe he can help get the cell door open if necessary.

Laz says: “First rule of fighting a swarm is don’t get surrounded! Fall back!”

You all have one round to take an action, and not time to have long discussions.

Jesse has gone.

Gareth, torn between Laz’s clear tactical acumen and Akrah’s bravery, falls back to the wall at the end of the hall and just inside the perpendicular hallway and covers Akrah with his bow.

Cyrus follows Laz (and can outrun him easily).

Gareth, Lax, Cyrus, Jesse, Akrah actions are taken...others?

Note they they are moving quickly and will get to act after you all take your one actions.  No take backs once posted, things happen quickly.

Barek continues to blow smoke rings in the large comfortable haze of Tommie's domain.

Oz, in his growing wisdom, tried praying for something new during his rest. He used his 2nd level slots to get Resist Energy, however, he used his Sanctum Spell feat on each of them. This has the effect of making them 1 level higher if cast in his sanctum, but 1 level lower if not. Since we're not in his sanctum, theoretically he could cast Resist Energy as 1st level. If DM approves of this technique, then he'll cast Resist Energy as 1st level on someone (to be determined by marching order), then will proceed to enhance others each round.

If DM does not approve of this stroke of genius, then Oz will distribute magic nuts to the group.

Sanctum Spell
(Complete Arcane, p. 82)

[Metamagic]

Your spells are especially potent on home ground.

Prerequisite
Any metamagic feat,

Benefit
A sanctum spell has an effective spell level 1 higher than its normal level if cast in your sanctum (see below), but if not cast in the sanctum, the spell has an effective spell level 1 lower than normal. All effects dependent on spell level (including save DCs) are calculated according to the adjusted level. A sanctum spell uses a spell slot of the spell's normal level.

Special
Your sanctum is a particular site, building, or structure previously designated by you, and no larger than 20 feet/level in diameter. The designated area must be a site where you have spent a cumulative period of at least three months. Though a sanctum can be designated within a larger structure, its special advantages do not apply beyond the maximum area. Once designated, it takes seven days for a site to become a sanctum, and if you designate a new area to be your sanctum, the benefits of the old one immediately fade..

Rano knocks a couple magic arrows and waits until he gets a clear shot within 30 feet.

Osrik says to the pole arm wielders....protect me! Stand with me.

He moves to the front and readies a spell action for when they get within 5 feet.

Horatio stands next to him and sets his pole axe for charge.

I will give you a spellcraft check to see if you think this works before trying.

Esra loudly whispers “I’ll go find Tae.”

Then he fiddles with his magic Alter Self belt, his form shifting rapidly from a lanky gatori with a narrow snout to a lanky gree with a narrow snout. He scampers 50 ft down the hallway, turning invisible as he moves.

Is this enough for Oz to plan his next move?

Oz realizes before he uses the spell slot that it will not work.

In game terms, the feat says it uses a slot of the same level, even though its weaker.
