Posting current status of spells and such.

Before figment cast. He gets an idea of how many people are injured.
-
So far, Oz has cast the following:
Detect Poison (0) x1
Detect Magic (0) x2
Mass Energy Resistance Acid (3) x1
-
70% of Breach is now chemical burns. Turlus is in pretty bad shape too.
Breach hasn’t used any spells, did use 1 smite.
Esra has not expended any limited use special abilities.
-
Akrah is down to 37hp. She is also now a stench of over priced isaac perfume and acid smell. But she has all her paladin abilities ready to use. Too bad these things aren't evil.
Barek has used nothing.
-
Jesse has used the following
Launch Item (0) x1
Caltrops (2)
Iwakasi has used one maneuver but he regains any used when outside of an encounter
-

3 or 4
-
Rano hasn't cast anything or fired any arrows yet.

Does the acid damage the floors?
-
Gareth and Laz both examine the creature’s remains. Between the two of us, which favored enemy category do they fall into?

Its an aberration.
-
Does the acid damage the floors?
Yes. I where it died is a mess. You are all confident it would have gone much worse if not for the protective spell.

Does the acid affect the bejeweled walls? Do we think it's powerful enough to bore a hole large enough to free Taye if we find out what level he's on? Perhaps one of these laboratories contains something we can store the acid

That’s where I was going. The second floor labs had glassware. Esra can go retrieve some if we think we can harvest it.

You haven't seen any get on the wall yet in any significant amount.
-
When Esra was snooping around and found that glassware in that one lab, were there any sealable containers, like flasks or vials?
How about lab PPE? E.g. gloves, aprons, face shields.
-
Which room was it, last one before the stiars first level?

Which room was it, last one before the stiars first level?
Yes, I think so. That’s where we took a break before heading down to level 2.
-
Oz will cast Detect Poison (0) on Turlus to see if he's been infected.

You detect no poison in Turlus.

Can I take 20 on a Search check to look him over for parasitic larva?
I also perform a Heal check to see how bad his wounds are and to detect infestation.
Heal d20 (17) + 20 = 37

Nothing indicates he is infected.
The acid would have been much worse (continual damage) if not for the protective spell.)
-
Continual damage…yikes. Those things do more damage in retribution than they take from the hit that triggers it. Did I observe correctly that the acid damage scales with the severity of the damage they take?

While very difficult to gauge in the moment, there does appear to be some correlation.
-
YYes, I think so. That’s where we took a break before heading down to level 2.
No gloves or eyewear, but glass screens that stand on the table. Yes, aprons.

While everyone is being healed and the experiments are going on, Laz goes over to the air vent. He is careful to avoid any caltrops and keeps the lighted pike ahead of him at all times. At the vent he extends the lighted pike in as far as possible.

How long is that?
-
15’

15’
At about ten feet, the vent turns up and down but does not continue forward.
-
Figment gathers the injured and the healers. He lets every one know that he will make the next person they heal more open to healing magic (your spell is maximized) Once everyone is ready a green burst of soft glowing light appears in a radius around Figment (you have all seen it before when he does his teleport healing) Then figment cast 3rd level healing on Breach and Breach gets back 36.

I gather up any caltrops from the ground and replace them in the vent. I smear the walls and top of the vent with oil.
-
whar other healers are you using spells while the maxmize is up?
-

How long does this last? How long can I store this for use later?
-
Have to heal in the moment. Same round I heal. I won't do my heal unless others want to because I want to save them for when I get maximum value.
-
Then figment cast 3rd level healing on Breach and Breach gets back 36.
Aaahhhh. That’s so much better. You’re such a handy little aberration to have around. When do you think my hair will grow back now that the chemical burns have healed?
-
Who still needs healing? Oz can provide some while Figment's maximize aura is up.

We don't know if we'll get rest in there, we might need to be careful using spells. Thought it seems we can backtrack to those "offices" and close the door and get some rest?
Akrah is still burnt and bloodied, at 37 hp. ( from 55 )
-
technically, Akrah, with the Bloodied Fast Tatoo is a HP multiplier. I can sacrifice 1 HP to give someone 2. So, basically, I donate 20 hp to give someone 40. Then I can be healed for 20. Pretty nice trick I think. And that doesn't even include my Lay On Hands.

That’s good healing economy. Turlus needs a lot. Actual numbers are not on hand but it was prob around 50 hp.
You should save you lay on hands for emergency healing.

We may need to reset. Do anyone have another mass resist energy prepared? That is crucial to our survival fighting these things. That retributive acid damage is worse than their actual offense (so far). And that was just one of those things. We need to reconsider our tactics.
-
Does anyone have another mass resist energy prepared?
No, but I could pray for more if we need to. Just give me 1 hour.
-

Was it obvious if these were glass or glassteel? Esra probably would have checked while looting. If there’s a way to tell.

Glass
-
All the clerics should at least use a 2nd level cure to maximize the healing aura

Jesse says:
"If we do need to rest I can make us shelters, as long as we are in a large enough space, that should keep those things out. And, if necessary, I can create a few extra-dimensional pocket spaces for us to rest in. Those won't last as long but are more secure. The only down side is that anyone with a bag of holding or similar item can't use those."

Laz has been ignoring all of you.
“Sword, your companions made it to the third level, but did you see more stairs down? Did you have information about how big the complex was before you came in?”
“The rest of you, no more stupid exploring. We are just looking for stairs. Leave closed doors closed. If we find cells we’ll knock and see if your friend is inside. Now, back in formation.”

Wirl responds, "We did not know how big it was. The next set of stairs continue down farther, but we didn't want to pass by the next level without searching for Kara after she was taken. It happened in a similar as just did, but you were able to fend off the attack."

"She was in a cell in the next level. Not that I could tell or they described, other than it was a level with lots of cells."
