Recap, xp, discussion

The alternative title is: A Long Talk, a long walk, and a good meal (hopefully with a side of answers).

Recap for Valdis and Hero:
We spent the night at Angus' castle. In the morning, before we plane shifted into our fate, which based on the luck we had would have gone fine, we had a discussion.
Uther refused to plane shift, so we looked at our options. They were as follows: Plane Shift, go back through the barrier, travel to the nearby shrine of Ukko, wander looking for a way to return our companions' memories, battle the returning cleric to learn their plan.
-
Before making this decision, we learned a lot from first Angus and Burke, and then later the summoned Azer thanks to Uther:
- Going through the barrier into the cursed land has no bad effect
- This side has a lot of left over magic items, because only people disappeared
- Ukko’s servant is Deirdra, the one who stopped us from plane shifting the people to safety
- They think we can leave, but not resident of Dakon because we are not from here
- We survived the trip through the barrier better than most
- Creatures are slowly returning to the world
- Whatever started time was triggered from the cursed land, because time did not stop there
- Time is speeding up, but at an unknown rate, so we won't lose 40 years, but maybe 20 if we travel all the way to the north pole to the gate
- The gate is 100% there
- The power of good have not decided to return their followers here but the powers of evil have
- An evil chronomancer is to blame for the calamity here, causing through his actions a temporal magic item to be destroyed leading to the breaking of time on Dakon
-
We began to eliminate choices and went with visit the shrine of Uko. This was done because it involved the least risk, and not a lot of time. In addition, because Angus was kind enough to give us a lot of items to help from their treasury, one of those items was a holy sword of Ukko. We thought we might be able to trade this to help.
-
Our travels we not difficult, partially because we traveled with two immortals and partially because most things have not returned to the world. We did, and by that I mean Angus, run into a creature named Shurgath which Angus had to negotiate with to allow us to pass.
Once at the temple, we found three deities of the demi-humans there and they began to answers questions and restore memories.

Any insight from anyone on the cause of the rifts or how to close them?

Pretty much summed up as the tools we need to get there may be on this side of the barrier and access to the rifts/gate is on the other side.

Ruby’s hammer is blessed by Goibhniu (pronounced Guv-new). It has a long name that is shortened to either Always Work or Never at Rest.
Godric’s sword translates to “The Shimmering Sky”
-
The three Powers are Falandal Steelskin, Baervan Wildwanderer and Yondalla. There is a table set out with an extensive but rustic meal.

We knew it is not Nilas Ahnor that opened them, only that he and his followers tried to take advantage of them.
-
Dakkon was described as "catching up" in time to Habololy, which is why it seems to be moving faster. Sort of a Rubber Band Effect.. the farther it was "stretched" the faster it pulled back when finally unstuck.
Dylan correcting Ruby...
Destruction of the Time stone caused the problems here.. similar to the stones on habololy, except not standing in a place, but items scattered.
-
Are there any spellbooks in the treasury?

Correcting the player, Ruby doesn't make mistakes like that...

Are there any spellbooks in the treasury?
Seemed not. Mostly weapons and armor.

Are there any spellbooks in the treasury?
We never actually asked for spellbooks, so it wouldn't hurt to find out.
Also, for the DM, Godric asked about rings and was told there were some. Not many, but there definitely were some. That being the case, would Angus and Burke be willing to spare one?

Ruby eats a lot. Politely in between courses, "Can you get us home?"

There are very minor rings of protection and armor. All the more valuable rings were in the hands of their cohort.

Yondalla says, “We can send you home, but not back in time. We also can’t close the rifts or see what is transpiring in Denicrea.”

Godric asks politely if he could utilize a ring. He has a protection ring, so one of another type would be appreciated. He'll be happy to give it back to Angus after we achieve our goals.

All they have are protection and armor (+1).

Armor rings don't stack with armor bonuses, do they? Unless they have natural armor rings, I suppose I'll pass. Our casters, however, may want to take one.
-
Yondalla says, “We can send you home, but not back in time.”
Ruby looks bit confused, in a way 'I asked for one thing and you answered both my question and an unrelated question', but she does not verbalize that to the deity.
-
Dylan sighs .. " If powers cannot close the rifts here, what are we expected to do? Maybe we should just go home and work on fixing magic so that they can be at least dealt with. I do remember reading that the stones were created by Mortals, so we should be able to re-create them "

Yondalla replies: The Dark Lord can block our divine power here, but that does not mean he can directly stop our agents.

500xp to those who made it last week.

They do not

They all put their mugs down in perfect synchronicity and look at all of you.

"Oh...." slumps and eats

Do you align with the idea that the rifts exist to influence Habololy with the evil that exists on Dakon.
-- If that is true.. you need to start coming back here.. to stop the one way flow.
Is there anything you can tell us on how to close the rifts?
Are the rifts related to the stress the differences in timelines are asserting on the two worlds.

"Lachlan Arrowmore, Divine Agent" I like the sound of that

Falandal says: “Our sight and power are blocked by the barrier. That is the price that was paid for the curse, and the Great Enemy’s power, to be contained. Based on what you discovered at the Temple, it appears there are many factions at work here. If it was all one plot, whatever is creating the rifts would most likely have been on this side of the barrier to send the Oni through.”
Yondalla says “Right now, there is so much strife among the powers of the upper planes, due in part to the events of folk from your world, that there is no consensus on returning our people to Dakon. The Kami and the Children of the Sun are desperate and so took the risk to return. Otherwise it is a few rogues (looking at Baerevan) and the powers of evil that have taken the chance. We will be forced to choose soon, but many of us are deprived of our protectors and so there will be great risk if we send our people here.”
“As for time, the rifts are drawing time into this sphere from Habololy’s sphere. Soon time here will function normally and perhaps eventually both worlds will be in sync.”
