Title: Prestige Classes
Post by: Asinjin on May 06, 2019, 11:49:00 PM
The following psionic prestige classes are allowed:

Elocater                   General   Psionics Handbook   Psion, Psychic Warrior
Meditator              General   Additional Classes   Psion, Wizard
Mencanist                   Tradition   Click Clock                   Tinker, Psion
Psychic Theurge     General   Additional Classes   Psion, Cleric
Regulator                   Tradition   Hertoplowis           Psion, Cleric
The Silent Order   Deity           Martial Beauty           Cleric, Psion
Weapon Manifester   General   Additional Classes   Psion, Psychic Warrior

Thoughts on which, if any should be moved to the Psionic book?

The rare opportunity here for some generic psionic prestige classes to be created for the psionic handbook.

Instead of a psion specializing in a specific discipline as part of the base class, how about we make the 6 disciplines prestige classes?
-Egoist
-Kineticist
-Nomad
-Seer
-Shaper
-Telepath

Prestige class abilities would enhance powers in the chosen discipline (e.g., making them more effective, harder to resist, faster to focus). We could also cherry pick abilities from existing published prestige classes, such as the Pyrokineticist (for the Kineticist) and the Thrallherd (for the Telepath).

Interesting thought.  I could be fine with this approach.  Others opinions?

How about one that combines them as well, 5 levels in each?

Do you mean combinations of two of six?  A prestige class for each combination?

Also, I don't allow five level prestige classes.

Prestige class called Specialist which is a low bar to enter and gives bonuses for a specialty.

The following existing classes will be used:

Elocator, Expanded Psionics Handbook, these psionic characters specialize in using movement, speed, and transportation in combat.

Meditator, Additional Prestige Classes, these psionic characters devout their time to thought and self reflection.

Mencanist, Click Clock Tick Tock, the synergy of psionic ability and tinkering.

Psychic Theurge, Additional Prestige Classes, for divine agents who combine those abilities with psionic powers.

Regulator, Life and Order in Hertoplowis, trained in Hertoplowis to keep the order by using psionic abilities.

The Silent Order, Martial Beauty, unarmed combat experts that are trained by Celetal in the way of psionics, they make sure creatures of chaos with psionic power do not run amok in the world.

Weapon Manifestor, Additional Prestige Classes, warriors who channel psychic power through their weapons.

Two comments- I’d like the Mystic Paladin included as a Prestige Class. I did a good amount of work on that and it never got played.

I think the discipline paths should be like specialist wizards rather than prestige classes. I think they’re too integral to the overall system to be prestige classes.

Where's that class located?

Guardians and maybe the last additional prestige classes? It was on the website also.
