You didn't answer my question. Do you understand what I am asking of you?
Yes, yes, yes... no fighting, no talking... oh, I'm so excited... can we leave now?

"The way I see it, we need at least two teams. One team to crack open the stones and free the occupants from Temporal Stasis. And, one team to hold off any attack.

Oira can lead us to Malchia, near him should be the others.  Those freeing the people in stone should memorize spells like 'Rock to Mud' or spells that will make it easier to shatter the stone.

Myself, Tchau, Alubrin, and Shando, should make up the attack team.  The 4 of us and our familiars should be able to hold off any attack that comes our way.

The rest of you break open the stones and get to the people inside, then attempt to break the Temporal Stasis.  Vega and Byron can use their weapons to break through the rock if necessary if spells do not work.  Hells, you could probably just use Vegas head and batter the rocks open.  And, he'd be none the worse for wear for the effort."
Tchau agrees with the plan.  Thinks to himself that it may seem a little presumptuous that the four of us can hold off potentially a whole town but he loves a challenge.

Do we know anything of these bull headed freaks? Do they guard the monument?  Is it sacred to them in some way?

Note that Vega and Oira are away investigating the stones.  If any of you do anything during the two hours they are gone, let me know.

I don't do anything.  I would like to hear there report first before coming up with a plan.

Vega gets right down to business when he gets back to camp. He pulls out a sketch of the Monument (that I would post if I could figure out how):

"The Monument consists of 25 stones arranged in a perfect grid of 5 rows and 5 columns. The stones are identical ellipsoids (eggs), cut in half and standing upright on the flat side. Picture half an egg, 10 ft in diameter at the base, rising up to 15 ft at the peak, and spaced 5 ft apart. They extend more than 5 ft below ground, and as far as I can tell they are all solid with no void spaces inside. The type of stone is unknown to me, which means it probably doesn't exist on Habololy. It is more resistant to physical damage and acid than normal stone, and it prevents extra dimensional travel through it.

The bullmen believe the GoLK erected the Monument to imprison the Foreigners immediately after he and the Collector defeated them in battle 3 years ago (note that we think it's only been ~1 yr). No one witnessed the battle, or if they did no one has ever spoken of it. The Foreigners spent time in the town to barter before that, but I doubt anyone knows anything about them anymore thanks to GoLK. There was one bull warrior who traveled with the Foreigners for a while, but he was taken away by GoLK's priests shortly after their imprisonment and has not been seen for awhile. GoLK has clearly been meddling with the witnesses memories of those events.

The bullmen watch the Monument for the GoLK. They have been offered 'great blessings' for information on the arrival of more foreigners. We should expect resistance. There are priests of all 3 Takers in the town, though I doubt that's where trouble will come from. Their magic comes at a great price, without a major sacrifice they don't command a lot of power. I suspect GoLK probably has minions on standby some where close.

Oira was able to sense Malchia through the stone, he is in grid position column B, row 2. I've got a good guess at where the others are based on the layout of the structure and what I think our friends would have been doing if they were caught in the middle of a deity spell battle. They are marked on the map. They are scattered, not adjacent to each other."

Yes, and he's actually in the stone on the surface, not buried under the rock.  I suspect all of them will be on the surface.  Now we just need to figure out a way past the rock and through the imprisonment, then we can summon the boss and go home.  We're so close...this is very exciting.

Assuming I make a spellcraft or knowledge arcana check, will disintegrating the rock harm or reveal the imprisoned?

If they are in Temporal Stasis or similar spell the disintegrate will not hurt them.

Ok. Time for an experiment. I take out a 7th level scroll from my chest and cast it to see if the "normal" problems we've encountered still apply.

The scroll will be used up in the experiment.

It works without issue.  I do need to know what you cast.
