Is Cydney in the telepathic bond?  If so, I think to her: "Cydney, can you cast an Augury to Falan and simply ask him if he wants this severing to happen?  He's apparently right down the hall, so I imagine he'll get the message."

She is not.

Okay, I think it to whoever is closest to her and ask them to relay the message for me.

Benlin asks Cydney, "Do you have an Augury prepared?"

Benlin offers, "I can cast Prying Eyes and send them around the temple, but I think we already know what is happening."
Are the prying eyes insubstantial?

Robyn asks Bigtop, "What about Malfesius? You know of his involvement. How do you plan to counter him?"

He shrugs. "He's a means to an end. I don't know what Temmelly intends to do with him once he's done."

Benlin to Robyn, "Any idea if Bigtop has true seeing?"

"I don't think he has true seeing. His breath is a cone of force that is surprisingly powerful for his size."

Benlin asks Cydney, "Do you have an Augury prepared?"

Cydney jumped down into the lower hallway and took off running.

No, they are physical, but very small.  Smaller than a baseball.

"Then I can use a programmed illusion to make him think we are still here, but actually take a few of us magically to the other side of the wall."

Wasn't there another wall there?  I believe you said she started and then ran into another wall....otherwise Benlin would have followed.

No Cydney ran into the wall of force above. She jumped into the hole after you opened it and yelled out "I'm coming Master."  That was the end of the round before Sir William revealed you were in the circle.

Cydney told you previously the alcoves are the only way to move interdimensionally in the temple. If you have something else in mind then disregard.

Did she describe how they work and if we can use them?

That is not at all what I thought happened, I was fairly certain she ran into another wall.  If she starts to run Benlin takes action at that moment.
