Halfling Terry. Here is what we have learned.
The castle is overrun with scaled creatures. We have seen mostly kobolds, a few lizardfolk in command. One of them was winged. And we heard, but didn't see a hydra. Perhaps a fey trick, but we have not seen any other signs of their presence.
The magically-sheltered mansion has been covered under a massive mound of soil. There are no signs of the defenders, though we did find some halfling tracks in tunnels under the estate leading out to the forest.
