The group of three can discuss your plan here, I will deal with the individuals individually.
-
I say we rest for an hour, then find our companions.

"I think that, while you rest, I will try to get some information from our captive"
-
You encountered 10 dwarves so far. You have captured a cook, who Ben knocked out severely. You killed the other cook.
There were four crossbow dwarves, one is dead, one buried by the collapse. One ax dwarf was stopped by Waryn and was also buried. The other five appear to have escaped.
-
Are we allowed to level up during our short rest?
-
If you make it through the short rest, yes.
-
Savages.. you killed a cook!!! Luigi will kill your ancestors so non of your will exist!

Dwarven Cook at that

Dwarven Cook at that
Seared to seal in the flavor.

How severe was the collapse? Is it passable for a remote sensor?

The remote sensor cannot fit. Whoever rigged it knew what they were doing, as if they had some knowledge of caves and stone...
-
So we came out of the kitchen and then went left to confront the dwarves, correct? What was to the right?

The dwarves were stationed at the center of a Y junction. You did go right around a corner, but there was only one path.

So the only thing behind us is the kitchen?
-
Yes
-
Where are the stolen supplies?
-
There are some in here, there are some in the room off to the right beyond the collapse where the well is.
-
Mindaris will begin to look for any secret passages out of the kitchen

Who is resting for an hour?
Fenwick is.

You find none.
-
About five minutes have passed (that is how much time Ben and Waryn have gotten through).
Do any of the three of you have perception?
-
Mindaris does
-
Mindaris, after a couple minutes, hears a deep echo noise from through the stone. It is difficult to tell what is was, maybe an explosion or a massive stone on stone or stone on metal collision. There is no effect in the kitchen (no rocks fall, no dust unsettled).
-
After another minute or so after whatever that noise was, if there is no indication that the stones that are blocking our path are moving, I will grab the remaining cook. I will drag him to a spot where he can't see the other one slowly roasting on the coals. Once I make sure he is securely tied up, I will use a Cure Wounds on him to bring him back to consciousness. Then I will ask him the following questions [Mentally]:
- What is your name
- Where is the escape tunnel
When he inevitably tells me that there is no escape tunnel, I will remind him that there is an army of Gree coming, and, if he would like for any of his kin to survive long enough to flee that horde, show us another way around the blockage.
-
You have to use the equivalent of a 1st level Cure Wounds.
Marno is my name.
Escape tunnel from where? The kitchen?
-

Yes, I have 3 first level spell slots
Marno is my name.
Escape tunnel from where? The kitchen?
Yes, Marno. In the event that you dwarves were attacked from the front entrance and you had to retreat back this way and drop the ceiling, as has been done, where are the escape tunnels? Surely your people have planned for this. It seems rather dumb to build such a defense and not have a way to escape from it yourselves.

He does not respond.

Nothing to say Marno? Tell me, who will mourn your death? You see, despite the evidence, we hoped to resolve this standoff as bloodlessly as possible. The rest of the beings outside have the courage to fight the coming Gree. Unlike the dwarves who want to hide in these caverns like cowards. However, in order to fight the Gree, the rest of us need the supplies you stole, and access to the Foundary. We had hoped a quick strike might end the standoff quickly. That no longer seems possible. Unless you start answering my questions, we will have no recourse but to go in through the front doors, and you, Marno, will be by shield.

Interesting, your friend said much the same thing.
Mindaris will go over to the others. "Our captive is not being very cooperative. When I pressed him about another way out of here, he got, what I would consider, defensively silent. So there probably is another way out of this area. I suggest we focus our search on the walls that are closer to the other sections of the cave complex. Do either of you have any skill finding hidden doors?
-
Do either of you have any skill finding hidden doors?
Nope
-
Do either of you have any skill finding hidden doors?
Me neither.
Our captive is not being very cooperative.
"Searing flames tend to be a good motivator. I will break him."
I cast a Suggestion: "You still have the opportunity to walk away from this situation. Tell us everything you know about this place and be on your way. If you don't, you will be nothing more than ashes in the wind..."
If that doesn't work I intimidate.
-
Fenwick is deeply disturbed by how dark this group has become. He shakes his head and calls the three of us to a private audience.
"My friends, we're supposed to be here to liberate the free folk of this world from the looming Gree threat, not assassinate a group of people that may be allies in the inevitable fight. Surely we can find another way to settle this conflict. Perhaps we can simply gather what supplies are here and bring them out to the group at the base of the mountain. If we kill these Dwarves in cold blood, we're no better than the Gree who march toward these gates as we speak. Please, reconsider executing this Dwarf."
-

You work on him for a few minutes, need to make sure the other two get to this time frame before I continue here. You are nearing ten minutes after the collapse.
-
Some more time passes, and the dwarf begins to talk:
"There is a pit down to the next level where there are troglodytes which we are defeating. There are ways out beyond them."
-
Note that about 20 minutes have now passed.
