"Figment things everyone should rest outside the cave entrance and try again tomorrow. Figment want to make sure my friends are healed because I do not want our enemies to feast on our entrails and gnaw on our bones.  We must live to fight another day.  I think the gnome will happy we were kept trying. We must make it through the path of glory alive so we can be heroes.

  That is why we must rest and try again.  We will defeat our enemies and feast on their entrails but Figment will make sure all my friends are safe.  This is so exciting.  I can't wait to try again.  I hope I can fall asleep.  There is so much adventure for tomorrow slaying and killing the evil creatues that attempt to stop our path to become heroes and healing and helping my friends.

I vote to press on. There is no guarantee that if we retreat back towards the inn that some other fiend will not be lying in wait for us in that direction. This creature clearly arrived by magic. If we wish to rest I say we rest here.

I say we press on. We were told that this path will take less than a day. We are already several hours in. If this is a test, it appears to be one of resolve.
