You can ask questions of Saladien.
-
Experience:
Grozik - For stopping angry brother from doing more damage - 2300
Saladien - For surviving in the midst of fet hating gnolls - 1500
Ravik - For helpfully using blood magic, and the only one who did - 2300
Scratch - For scaring away the leader - 2450
Ozzle - For taking it to the Kobalds - 2500
Drax - For finding the fey - 2200
Tarkin - For preventing unwanted deaths and causing wanted deaths - 2500
-
Tarkin is conflicted. Fey are evil, and Enf (Elf Nipit Fey) has confirmed this, he finds it funny that the weak of the forest, those that have been captured, or capitulated are being fed to the fey. (he never delineates between evil and normal fey) Thinking they got what they deserve for being weak. Gnolls would never be caught alive, would never be weak, would never give in. But.. Fey are evil and they need to be punished and need to learn their place in the forest.
Tarkin doesn't tell most of the others of the enf's fey-ness. But he does take Smart Brother to the side and converse with him about it. And if we should trust the enf at all.
He doesn't think of any questions for the enf. He'll leave the battle planning up to those back at camp. But his internal conflict causes him to pace angrily when in proximity of the enf.

ENF is great nickname.
The gnolls have only a short time to talk to Saladin. He is in the first group Foost teleports back to Balinhost and once there, he is whisked away to talk to the leaders.
-
If you got a level, please message me to let me know.
-
Foost teleports six at a time, although some of the small animals can go together. That said, it takes him three days to get everyone as he will not spend the night out there with you.
Tox continues to recover, and he and Grozik are the last that Foost brings back because of their size.
-
You find that everyday you have to move farther south. Your senses and animals report of activity nearing you, but not dangerously close. Fearing what might be part of that pack, you do not engage. Khraz is one of the first brought back to make sure he doesn't make any hasty decisions.
-
Foost casts an illusion over all of you every night he leaves to help keep you concealed.
-
Back in Balinhost, even though Saladin is given most of the attention, the gnolls are asked a lot of questions about the fey they encountered.
They bring in several experts to talk to you. First, two Fironi, and halfling, a human. They ask lots of questions mainly focused on types of fey, how they looked and such.
When one of the Fironi leaves along with the halfling, the two that remain ask more pointed questions about weaknesses and strengths.
You learn that the fey are an extremely difficult enemy, so says the human named Vernon. "They do not breed normally. Each one might be resistant to different things. You don't even know if you can kill it by drowning.". They laugh. "One fey really had us going when we were water boarding it for hours before it finally couldn't keep the joke up and laughed at us. It could breath water."
The Fironi cringes at the next part before it is said. "It couldn't breath fire though."
Note that only the gnolls, specifically Ozzie and Tarkin.
-
Tarkin cackles as the torture is described. "It seems both sides have dipped unsavory places to advance themselves in this war. Gnolls live in those places " he cackles again " I can help you learn where to stick the fey where it hurts the most, their tricks and magics are troubling "
-
Tarkin doesn't tell most of the others of the enf's fey-ness. But he does take Smart Brother to the side and converse with him about it. And if we should trust the enf at all.
Sorcerous lineage can surface several generations after the initial cross breeding occurs. His elf-nipit parents may not have even known they possessed fey blood until their enf offspring came along. And unless this was some elaborate setup, the enf appears to be an enemy of Scalehome, and the enemy of my enemy is my packmate. I believe him. For now. But trust must be earned. Keep a close eye out for trickery.

You said that Scalehome has dusk giant pets...how many? Where? What other creatures are they amassing?
-
You can ask questions of Saladien.
- Can you map where the enemy troops are, and what types? (Map.. i didn't mean map.. i mean.. diagram.. err.. sketch.. here.. use these rocks to show us.. )

Saladien's answer to this would be no.

Saladien's answers would be:
"At least four that I saw. They were near the town of Vaughtvale in Scalehome."
"There are a lot of Kobolds and fey."

No.

The gnolls will remain near Balinhost until Tox fully recovers, which will be a week or so after they all get back there.
During that time, they get lots of questions about the month they spent scouting and about the battles with the Fey.
What do you do with the troll gold?

What do you do with the troll gold?
Could we trade with the spell casters among our ranks for upgraded weapons and items?

Its not worth that much. It would get you a potion.

Can Smart Brother use it for spell components?
If not components, maybe Smart Brother can craft something out of it. A magic item/war trophy.

Is there an in-game use for the troll gold as a spell component?
And can we find a buyer for the tiny and small magic daggers? I ask Foost.

There is, who can get about five times is normal value is you sell it.
Foost says, "Their magic is limited and useless to non-Fey, so virtually no value."

Can I actually use it for anything?

Can I actually use it for anything?
You can use it in crafting a variety of magic items. It would replace the cost to create some things, and since you have it already, the total cost would be less expensive.
Example..making a ring of regeneration costs lets say 1,000gc. The troll gold normally valued at 50gc would be worth 75gc for this purpose since you don't have a built in delivery and collection cost.
