Did we find Bugs Bunny's playbook last session?

Just to clear up a bit.  It wasn't Saladien that cast the illusion it was Cyrus.  Also the griffon was pretending to attack the other griffon.

A few notes about the fort from your animal recon:

- Outside the wall, there is a ten foot ditch and a ten foot rampart with wooden spikes.  This exists on the northern, eastern, and southern walls.

- The only gate, on the western side, has an inclining road of about feet leading to the gate.

- The fort is rectangular with the long sides facing north and south.

- Everything is made of wood.

- The clearing around the fort is home to several thousands halflings and other races.  There homes are not fortified and low to the ground.

- The animals note that they see at least a couple Sakor'akai flying around the fort.

- There also note that there are humans and elves in and around the fort.

- The wooduke's flag, three vertical bars, two green flanking a brown, flies above the fort.

Is the wood duke a know Fey/Scalehome sympathizer?  I forgot if we already established that.

About a year ago, he withdrew support for Ellic and the forces opposing Scalehome.  He has not officially endorsed or joined Scalehome, but the feeling from Ellic is that he is no longer and ally.

So the animals didn't find anything in the scouting that might change up our plan?  Such as the location of the prisoner.

They did not find out where Kaklan is.  They cannot get into any of the buildings inside the fort.  Given enough time, they might be able to get in (maybe a few days for the right opportunity).

You do get a report that there is a cleric of Habastly working in the fort (although this is surprising).  There is a shrine to Habastly in the town surrounding the fort.

The animals are able to land in the fort and climb the walls without magical interference or alarms that are obvious being triggered.

Mortimur says that he will contact you that evening, when he prays so as not to be noticed casting the senging.

We will pick up tomorrow with Mortimur making his first sending to you that first night.  He will have been in the fort for about eight hours.

We still don't have a good plan to use the distraction.  The walls are watched, if they have any discipline we will not get in.

I will be blinking with fey invisibility so it depends on how many fey we have.  Can any of clerics divine that for us to see if there are any fey in there and if it is a good idea for me to go into the fort.

Maybe we should just Ask for him back, if a Gnoll force shows at the edges of their fort they will release him.  We could also blockage them, preventing anything from getting in our out for awhile..  Might change their minds.  Subterfuge isn't out strong point, so maybe we should challenge them a bit to a stand up fight.

For what it is worth, Syrus and Saladien do not see any Fey around.  Syrus suggests that even if they don't even the fort during the diversion, they can at least watch from the tree line and look for fey that would be watching Mortimur.

Syrus offers to cast Augury about an action you want to take.  If will require someone give him valuable tokens that belong to the person taking the action for him to cast.  The tokens are a focus, not used up in casting.
