Did the fire harm the gold in any way?  Did it liquefy or remain solid after the surrounding wood burned away?
Ozzle's applying scientific method? If Tox was here I bet I could convince him that you were a fey in disguise. The ensuing scrap would have been entertaining. What a shame.

Tarkin shakes he head miserably as a might white cloud of smokes drifts though the forrest, warning some, and attracting others.  He takes 20 to hide and waits for those in the path of the smoke
It's dark out. Better than noise.

When it burns out, and you have managed not to light anything else on fire with help of the extinguishing ring, you collect the equivalent fo 30 gold coins from the ash.

Is that the street value just as a precious metal, or is that the value of it as a spell component?

Were either of those daggers magical? Always wanted an enchanted toothpick.

Scientific...what does that word mean?

Ozzle simply doesn't want to ruin his prize that he's claiming from the petrified husk of his victim.

He smacks nerdy brother...I mean Drax...upside the head for his insult.

I will let that slide this time since you just saved my life. But just this once. Touch me again and you will be pulling magic missiles out of your ass for weeks.

With that comment, Ozzle bursts into laughter.  "So you do have a sense of humor after all."  Cackle catches the giggles after Ozzle starts laughing.  The two of them continue to laugh like hyenas while they carve the gold out of the troll's charred corpse.  The laughter gets particularly loud every time they peek over at the Fey corpses and see the twisted, horrified looks on their faces as rigor mortis sets in.  Ozzle subtlety wipes the tears of laughter off his cheek fur.

Scratch walks around the area listening for anything approaching.  If (more likely when) Ozzle's laughter becomes too hysterical and loud, he casts silence on the charred remains and continues his monitoring of the area...

During the process, you see and hear nothing out of the ordinary from the surrounding forest.

After the process is complete, where do you go?

I believe we were all trying to find a new place to camp.

you find a camp a suitable distance away in a good spot.  I assume the survival checks of this group are high.
