Ozzle has also been studying ways to defend against fey.  Through exhaustive research, he has discovered that when the pointy end of his spear and arrows enter the fleshy parts of the fey, the wretched creatures cease to exist.  He plans on testing this theory repeatedly in the upcoming battles.

That's very gnolly

I attack Drax after he slings his insult.  I'm not looking to hurt him.  It's more of a brotherly scuffle.  I try to pin him to the ground and make him submit.  Think more along the lines of rug burns, titty twisters, and wedgies.

As the Great Forest enters autumn, there is a humm of danger and activity.  The nearly year of little battle seems to be nearing an end.  Both sides have planned and plotted and licked their wounds.  Lines have been drawn.

The gnolls are given orders, passed down from your pack leader Vatpik and endorsed by Ellic.  You eight are to scout the forest around where the edge of control between the two sides is generally believed to exist.  You are to gather information and have free reign to attack and obvious threats to the gnolls and Balinhost.  You are given a list that includes evil fey, kobalds, monster such as Scowlbears, and of course the scaled winged beasts.  Do not attack other creatures unless they pose a clear and immediate threat.

Later, right before you leave, Vatpik says: "Kill all enemies, they are threats now.  Ask the halfling's pardon later."

During your time scouting the forest, you at times split up (never going too far but not always in a big group).

We will begin on 11/11/787.

For references purposes, this is about the time we started the last seas campaign.  So the seas ended several months ahead.

It is almost a year after the end of the Icefian campaign last season.

It is less than two months after the last rogue's season.

Almost six months since the end of the Plateau last season.

What about the Wizards campaign?  Where does that fall on this cosmic calendar?

The wizards left Habololy about five months before we begin this season of the Great Forest War.

25xp for a good point from Malchia.

Over the year the gnolls have been active, you have all discovered what abilities you had to start with.  Here are a list of the blood magic spells you each have:

Drax – Phant. Assail, Major Image, Invis Sphere, Deceptive Facade
Scratch – Earthen Grace, Suspend Disease, Hold Portal, Earth Lock
Grozik – Healing Touch, Preserve Organ, Cause Fear, Ray of Enfeeblement
Razk – Circle Dance, Know Protections, Detect Aberration, Allied Footsteps
Ozzle – Fireburst, Body Blaze, Flame Dagger, Ray of Flame
Tox –  Blockade, Regroup, Greater Mage Armor, Choke
Khraz –  Incite, Heroism, Warcry, Mindless Rage
Tarkin – Accelerated Movement, Hurl, Feather Fall, Undeniable Gravity

As a matter of interest, have the Gnolls figured out the negative effects of each of these spells, or are they random each time?
