Exploring the bottom of the lake would be wise.  We never actually accomplished that task since we were attacked.  We should pray to Tyrogatore for the blessings to breath underwater, move freely without restraint (Freedom of Movement), and see clearly when down there.  Any resistance we meet down there will be met with Tyrogatore's martial justice.
