No. I think the winged drow is part of the manifestation of the GoLK.

Could be, although it's not like any of us would actually know what he looks like let alone that he even exists.  Well, at least Zalthor wouldn't have any idea.

Windblade:
I am still a bit confused and maybe it is because of all the time travel craziness (Asinjin coughs in pain somewhere in multiverse)  I don't really see how we all saved the world.  Once Malchia stole the Raven, he was the one that "saved the world".  I am not really sure where Cloud fits in to all of this.  He never did anything with the Raven or did anything to change time even though from the beginning of the adventure Wendy said he was the key so it was really confusing when Malchia stole the Raven and reverted everything back to normal.

It also seemed like Malchia could have jumped in anytime in the story line and taken the Raven especially with Cloud being unconscious for 2.5 of the 3 session.  So I don't really understand how our actions had any real relevance.  (metagame note: Not to take away from the fun and enjoyment of just playing especially with all the damage that Z and L did in the battles)

Also I feel like the metagame events that surround the deception of Russel/Malchia made it very difficult for Cloud to stay his usual cautious self in game.  Remember the wizards have always been paranoid and that is difficult to play if not impossible to play based on the metagame circumstances of the deception.  I feel like there should have been some save or some roll of the dice that gave Cloud a chance to identify the deception.

Anyway, just really a bit confused where and looking for answers on why it was important to protect and save Cloud.

Asinjin:
Until Cloud's appearance, the Raven was broken and could not be found.

When Cloud arrived and the Raven activated (as you saw in game), it became able to be found.

Your decision to go on a ship was wise, because with magic in its state it is near impossible to locate and teleport to someone moving at sea.  Flying around to find them at sea also difficult since you can't have a lot of spells active at the same time.

So until you came to port, Malchia (or whoever) would not have been able to easily get to the Raven.

GOLK wasn't looking for the Raven, rather looking for Cloud.  Why he waited to attack until he did, since he can obviously find you has a few answers revolving around the time and your location.

Note there are always a lot of different ways it can go.  As I noted to Zunder, had you ever let Gnelson tinker with it, things would have happened.

Who you sent also mattered.  Sending different people would have had different results.

Where you went mattered.  Had you stayed in Ermaneo, gone over land, or sailed to Pacyr, any number of different things would have happened.

Who went back to change things back has an effect on what if anything reverted back to standard.
