Ellic says, "If you are right, then we will not make the attempt.  While I want him rescued, we cannot sacrifice ourselves in a attempt.  Perhaps they sent him there to die to prevent his return from death."

"There is risk in them for that path though. If Mallory is of some degree of power he could become a shade and then they would have no power over him. More likely they are keeping him beyond our reach for a time."

Ellic says, "That is good to know.  There are residents of the forest that are out to stop her.  While they are not our allies or enemies as it pertains to the war with Scalehome, they are certainly out there making sure Maab does not gain a foothold.  What Ajax says gives me more hope that she will not gain ground.  If already agents of good thwart her, adding to that the followers of Dresta and Compture should make it near impossible.  That said, Compture has long had a presence in the forest, I will send out messengers to make sure the religion knows to look out for Maab."

Ellic later notes after some research, "The cult of Choas also hails from Maab's home plane of Pandemonium.  I would think it would be looking to prevent a rival from the same plane from taking some of its influence."

So far for magic items:

Saladien - Spear
Syrus - Amber Dragonfly
Vor'Ruk - Ioun Stone
Haas - none
Grant - ??
Ash - ??
Valizar - ??
Rompei - ??

It doesn't appear as if anyone can use the rapier or the ring.  That leaves the Rod and three Wands.

Han~Sui has no army, and his clerics have as much allegiance to the nations they belong to to leave.
Perhaps the religion has no army, but are there not nations where Han~Sui's faith hold sway? Hertoplowis? The Empire?

Sernene, what of Celetal? Are there any of your clergy that would come to stop the advance of these cults?

Ellic responds, "Hertoplowis is ruled by Everentual above all others.  The Destroytian Republic would be the closest, but they are already deep in a war.  Perhaps Thalmeret would fall into that category as well, I'm not sure."

~I could send out a call for an inquisitor.  There are some in Hertoplowis.~

Ellic responds, "What we need most it basic soldiers.  We have many scouts, hunters, and special forces at our disposal.  What we lack is what the orcs could provide," he nods towards Vor'Ruk.  "When I send the request, I will ask for fighters you can stand their ground when faced with a charge.  Thank you Ajax."

We are going to jump about a month in time, so I want to make sure anyone who needs anything immediate done gets it done before we pick up with these characters.  That's not to say you only have a week (because next we will do the gnolls) but just be advised that when we pick up with these characters, time will have passed.

I expect two to three gnoll sessions before we go back to Haas and crew for the remainder of the season.
