To start with xp:
Gnevil gets 1800
Everyone else gets 1500

It is the 4th going into 5th day of the 12th month, Baston Sun.

You will slowly earn back that 4000 you missed since you are lower level.

Harrick quickly scans the area after the 'cleric' is killed. The only magic other that what you all have are four auras coming from him, and two from the inn.
Harrick also scans the area with a detect undead and finds no other undead in the area.
-
It is just after midnight.
-
It suddenly occurs to everyone that there are still 5 undead wererats. Three are standing motionless and two are fighting each other.
-
First, as I said last night, i check in and around the stable so I can see if anyone else was there. If there is nothing else ( I think you said that last night ) then I collect the 3 magical items you saw on the dead, undead guy.
I suggest.." Maybe we should let emmorik stay in the inn with someone. If they are truely after him. We can get a large cloak with a hood so that he not to obvious"
-
Emitz helps you search the stable.
His cloak, sword, and a ring are magical. There is also a lingering aura of magic on him.
Note there are still those undead.

After I collect the items .. I use my ring of shooting stars to launch a ball lightening at the two fighting undead (2 at 3D6 dmg each)
-
As you cast your spell, you notice there is a magical aura around all of the zombies, including the destroyed ones.
The Ball Lightning blows the two fighting ones to pieces.
-
Was it Artemus that got hit with the negative level?
-
After we have Emmerick back in the wagon I raise the hue and cry for the constables. I tell the others: leave those held zombies alone. The more evidence we have the fewer questions there will be.
-
People from the inn, called the Eastpath Sword Inn (named for the closest intersection), are beginning to come to the common room and look out at the scene.
-
There is a thick trail of blood that leads from the stable to where the creature was destroyed. There are three horses in the stable, with one wagon. The horses are jittery.
-
Emitx says, "After you barraged him, I gutted him. He was dead. I started to look him over. Symbol of Falan, constable badge, sword, ring. Looked human." He peers over at the body, "Doesn't look like anything now."

The ring and cloak are covered in acid, you will have to wait or clean them off.
Harrick, roll a percentile.
-
Marston, roll a d20.

Yes but I healed it already.

It appears as if the explosion has not damaged the silencer. However, the barrel has a significant hole in it.

When we get some time to ourselves, I ask Harrick to mend the barrel. If that isn't possible, I'll let Gnevil and Artemis repair it. I have some skill with crafting firearms, so I may be able to do something too. If nothing else, I can lend an assist to the gnomes.

We should gather these items and relinquish them to the constables when they arrive. We don't need to be accused of stealing from a dead constable. Marston takes 20 and gathers all his spent shell casings to lessen the appearance of firearms being used. I load all the weapons I can, including the boomstick, and hide them away in my bandolier.
Perhaps the clerics should say a prayer over the constable's body to prevent him from rising up again, or if nothing else, give his soul some peace.
-
I think we are going to be in trouble, as we killed the Constable before he was undead. We must convince him that he was a heretic.

You are confident that a Mend will not fix it. However, you are confident that you can repair it yourself, it the tinkers will give you some supplies and you have some time. Otherwise, one of them could try to Quick Fix it.

The Acid Ball has melted much of his mundane equipment, including the badge and his holy symbol. The cloak even took some damage from it, although it appears intact enough to function.

I'm pretty sure the shambling group of controlled zombie wererats is good evidence to use to convince the constables that he was a heretic. Clerics, please make sure Emmerick has not been bitten or turned in any way.

Wait! Let me recharge my pack.

Nuts. You people have to stop posting so much during the work day.
-
There are still three standing around.
-
Also, Harrick notices that the remaining zombie have a magical aura. He sees this with his detect magic.

Can I make a check to tell how long the wererat zombies have been dead? The 1st time. Not re-dead. Or un-undead.

We're not that far from the city limits, right? If we leave now we probably could be out of Hertoplian jurisdiction by the time the authorities find us...
-
you have been traveling for 9 days, Emitx thinks you have at least three left.
-

You think they have been dead for less than a week.

We can't run for it, as i believe some of us might come back. Since I believe we haven't broken any laws, we should be ok.
-
I agree killing undead isn't against the law. The only problem might be is that we killed the cloaked guy before he became undead.

He was a heretic!

True
-
Bandrig is still waiting for the constables.

I can take a look at it once we get out of the city. Artemis might not be so willing to help if you continue to imply he's a gnome.
-
Emitx goes over and starts talking to the inn keeper.
-

Very true.
-
Emitx comes over to tell the group, and specifically Bandrig, "The innkeeper says that the cleric of Falan, assuming its the one he knows that is stationed nearby, is no the most common one to visit the inn. He thinks there should be one arriving in a minute or two. Probably a constable dedicated to Gruweas, but not dedicated to no one, or maybe Everentual."
-
We have no choice but wait. There's no need to say anything about the creature being a constable. We didn't know and now there is no badge or other evidence.
-
Do you still have the bracers in the cask?
-
Do you still have the bracers in the cask?
Bracers are in the cask, the cask is in the non-detect wagon.
-
Bracers are in the cask, the cask is in the non-detect wagon.
The bracers clean the caber.
-
So we have three dazed undead lyncanthrope wererats standing in the street.
The wagon and all of you also in the street.
A crowd gathered in the inn.
All waiting for the constables, who have been called.
-
Are we starting with the arrival of a) the constables (we should be so lucky), b) more bad guys (probably the whole Yorbone team with our luck) or c) rescue (never going to happen but wouldn't it be great, Clement, my cousin, the planetar . . .)?
-
If its b), then Yorboned.
-
we need to tie up the undead before they come out of it.
-
posting xp:
Artemus - 30
Harrick - 35
Bandrig and Marston - 20 each
Gnevil - 25
