My continued reading has uncovered a huge problem with conversion regarding the spell.  First off, the way they do it in 5th edition is great and makes more sense and I like it.

However, it would be a blow to continuity in our existing campaign.

I will try to sum up.

Currently, Teleport is 5th and Teleport without Error is 7th and Teleportation Circle is 9th.

In the new edition, Teleportation Circle is 5th and Teleport is 7th and there is no T w/o E.

What is the catch?  Teleport works the same in both editions (Verbal only, chance of missing, etc), with the only difference being level.

Teleportation Circle is not the same, although it has some similarities.  It is a long casting time for both, it requires a material component for both.  The new one goes away after a round, the old one lasts for a while.  The new one requires a 'key' that allows you to go to specific places.
