Our first foray into the 4th era comes to a conclusion with no deaths and some foreshadowing.
Start with xp:
Zalthor - for bloody destruction without match - 2000
Laz - for tactical destruction (bonus for non Laz RPing) - 2500
Isaac - for a lullabye - 1700
Gnoah - with a little help from Cloud, and elemental, and a wand - 1500
Gnelson - had you only gotten the raven in your hands - 1500
Finn - hard to be a paladin with Z and L in the group - 1500
Wendy - for a well played season as the cause of the problem - 1700
-
To make sure the end was clear:
Emitz, Gnelson, Lax, Gnoah, Zalthor, Finn, and Isaac don't remember any of the events from the season in the normal way.
The only indication that something is off are dreams and nightmares you have, which start about the 8th month of 816. Those include snippets of the events from the three sessions with the addition of the appearance of a metal winged drow in the background of those dreams.
You recognize the others over the next week to month from the dreams and at some point approach each other trying to figure out what the connection is, to no avail.

For clarification purposes, how much of the timeline was fixed?
Do all the events of the past era still happen?
Are the magic stones still broken?
Are the Counsel Deities still alive?
Or does it just reset time to right at that point at the Low Bar?
Is the world still populated mostly with young people or do some of the old-timers still skulk around?
Does anyone who wasn't part of the group have any memories of the past?
Do we remember any mention of memory-erasing wizards out to get us or has that part of our brains been erased?
Do we still run into Cloud during the storm or has that event been changed from history?

Pretty much everything

Yes

The description of the young remains
Does anyone who wasn't part of the group have any memories of the past?
The now not existent timeline, no one that you know of
Do we remember any mention of memory-erasing wizards out to get us or has that part of our brains been erased?
part of your dream/nightmare includes the attack by those wizards
Do we still run into Cloud during the storm or has that event been changed from history?
Cloud does not crash into the bay, you do not meet him

Re'Alph?
No. I think the winged drow is part of the manifestation of the GoLK.

Could be, although it's not like any of us would actually know what he looks like let alone that he even exists. Well, at least Zalthor wouldn't have any idea.

I am still a bit confused and maybe it is because of all the time travel craziness (Asinjin coughs in pain somewhere in multiverse) I don't really see how we all saved the world. Once Malchia stole the Raven, he was the one that "saved the world". I am not really sure where Cloud fits in to all of this. He never did anything with the Raven or did anything to change time even though from the beginning of the adventure Wendy said he was the key so it was really confusing when Malchia stole the Raven and reverted everything back to normal.
It also seemed like Malchia could have jumped in anytime in the story line and taken the Raven especially with Cloud being unconscious for 2.5 of the 3 session. So I don't really understand how our actions had any real relevance. (metagame note: Not to take away from the fun and enjoyment of just playing especially with all the damage that Z and L did in the battles)
Also I feel like the metagame events that surround the deception of Russel/Malchia made it very difficult for Cloud to stay his usual cautious self in game. Remember the wizards have always been paranoid and that is difficult to play if not impossible to play based on the metagame circumstances of the deception. I feel like there should have been some save or some roll of the dice that gave Cloud a chance to identify the deception.
Anyway, just really a bit confused where and looking for answers on why it was important to protect and save Cloud.

Until Cloud's appearance, the Raven was broken and could not be found.
When Cloud arrived and the Raven activated (as you saw in game), it became able to be found.
Your decision to go on a ship was wise, because with magic in its state it is near impossible to locate and teleport to someone moving at sea. Flying around to find them at sea also difficult since you can't have a lot of spells active at the same time.
So until you came to port, Malchia (or whoever) would not have been able to easily get to the Raven.
GOLK wasn't looking for the Raven, rather looking for Cloud. Why he waited to attack until he did, since he can obviously find you has a few answers revolving around the time and your location.
Note there are always a lot of different ways it can go. As I noted to Zunder, had you ever let Gnelson tinker with it, things would have happened.
Who you sent also mattered. Sending different people would have had different results.
Where you went mattered. Had you stayed in Ermaneo, gone over land, or sailed to Pacyr, any number of different things would have happened.
Who went back to change things back has an effect on what if anything reverted back to standard.

See.. he didn't say "Bad things would have happened" .. Tinkers matter also, you guys are just racists!!!

Nah, just low level Tinkers don't matter. ;)
Remember, we were all part of the "Low Bar" both figuratively and location-wise, so expectations were pretty dismal. I don't think that mini-session could've ended any better than it did for the world as a whole.

*vomit* the gopher of the Collector would say that.

Nice! Couldn't have put it any better myself.

I believe that translates in Nipeete to read: "Savior of Habololy and restorer of time."

Please message me your levels.

I love the nickname “gophers†for the Collector faithful. That needs to become a thing.
