Title: Test League
Post by: Asinjin on April 24, 2013, 11:34:53 AM
I set up a small league called Valley of the Great Ones.  If you can, search for it and try to join.  I want to see how it works and what we can do.

The latest rules of Blood Bowl state the MVP is random.  Each team gets 1 win or lose.  If a team quits the remaining team gets their MVP.

The pass word is Great Test.

So far, I have learned that you can't start the league until the number of teams that is set have entered the league.

One person creates league, other teams apply, creator has to approve.

At least so far, the commissioner can change the rules after the league is created.

The commissioner can transfer the role of commissioner to another player.

You can host the real league if you wish.

I am hesitant because I only have the Legendary edition.  I don't know if that would effect others ability to use the new stadiums and teams.

Gotcha.  Hopefully that doesn't make it so people can't play the new teams against you.

From what I have read, I should still be able to play against them; but I have not read about the hosting requirements.

Some notes:

1 - you can pause for 30 seconds at a time
2 - a match has to be validated by a players before it counts, so if something goes really wrong in a game, it can be negates (I mean technically wrong, not a bad loss)
3 - I could not find an in game chat
4 - free play does not mean you can play whoever you want, or the schedule in any order; I assume it just means no time limit in days for you to finish a game

For chat we can just use steams chat.  It actually has voice chat which I plan to use with people who want to use it.

Where would that appear on the screen?

I think there is an in game chat feature.  On the lower left side of the screen there is a "log" button that will display a running comentary of all of the actions in a match, and a "chat bubble" button to the right of the "log" button.  I clicked it, but couldn't figure out how to get it to work.

On my version the one of the left is commentary, the button on the right is action and roll description.

That could be why I couldn't get it to work  ;D

If you have fewer than 11 players, the computer gives you a 'free' lineman (or cheapest player on your team) to play for just that game.  It does effect your team rating for that game (increasing it by the value of that player).

After the game, if you have enough coin, you have the option of buying that player; in the case that he leveled during the game.
