Lots that can be discussed on the boards during our potential month hiatus:

-Questions or investigation from the dead cleric of Stasis

-The aftermath of the battle

-Talk to Leo in Balinhost

-Talk to officials in Balinhost

-Introduction of Keldaan

-Explore Balinhost

The date of the battle in Balinhost is the 13th day of the 7th month.  It is a little different than I had said would be the start of the campaign, as I forgot about the windwalking.

As things settle from the battle, much of the foliage that appeared dissipates; however, some places remain thicker with it than before the battle started.

There are two dead creatures remaining, one of the dog-faced humanoid creatures that was using a bow, and one of the smaller leaf armored creatures with the thorny sword.

Can the Wall of Stone be dismissed?

Does Roland enter the wall circle?

Do any of the others leave it?

There are dozens of arrows littered around, they do not disappear or meld into the foliage.

I wipe the silver blood off my sword onto a rag. I save the rag to show to Grant or possibly the new arrivals. I also look to see if I can identify a foot print. I'm not trying to track the creature, I just want to see what the print looks like.

I then watch the newcomers for a few rounds until its clear they have not joined us in a new ambush. How long until my leg feels normal?

It does not feel as if it will go away soon.  The same for Grant.

To your eye, there is no sign on the ground of any of them moving across it.

Between you and Grant, you are fairly sure it had footwear, unlike the other two types of creatures you saw.  (None of you saw the thing that attacked Keldaan)

I am sorry Haas, I failed to warn you of one of the assailants. I thought you would detect his approach.

Would a lesser restoration cure the numbness in the legs?  If so, I'll cast it on whoever needs it.

As the dense foliage retreats back into the forest you see a Northern Elf sheathing his sword with such a fluid motion that it almost appears to be part of his body.  The elf stands over 5 feet tall with blonde hair and bright blue eyes.  He is finely dressed in noble's clothing and you see a glint of Mithral underneath his tunic through a hole that was torn by the dense foliage.  He has on fine boots and a cloak made of fine black material that blurs around the edges.  On a clasp of he cloak you see a sword with swirling wind around it on his shirt over on the left side over his heart you see a symbol with a tree that has roses growing on it.   "Greeting I am Keldaan Windblade  emissary of the northern elves.  If and if my memory serves me correctly you must be Haas.  I am looking to join your your noble cause to stop the evil forces attack on the  faiths of Stasis and Tyragatore and to find out how these evil forces are corrupting a good hearted deity.  Although I know in your opinion this good hearted deity's clerics are are weak of will and body, lazy and cowardly and that is why they have been corrupted. Anyway I am here to help.  Is everyone ok?

Roland, with a cocked eyebrow, " assuming you mean Tommimao, his followers are corrupted because they pollute their bodies and minds with drugs.  They hate mighty Tyrogatore because of the contempt in which he holds such behavior."  "We are all seriously injured and are in need of healing."

The wall of stone cannot be dismissed and does not expire

Haas waits within the impromptu stone arena until the newcomers reveal themselves.

Blasted creatures! I couldn't tell the difference between the enemy and the brush. No need to apologize Brother. Praise Tyrogatore for the pain that reminds me I am still alive.

I'll also cast a mass cure light on the injured. Roland, Grant and I get 23 back, any non-Tyro faithful get 16.

If anyone is seriously injured Haas can provide additional healing.

Firfin responds to Keldaan, "Hello Master Windblade, I am Sir Firfin, Knight of the Order of the Banished Hero, known as the Merciful.  Thank you for the assistance.  I have heard your surname before.  Are you directly related to the Windblades?"

Firfin continues, "Well met then, good Windblade.  It is wonderful to have you here and to know that the Court of the Rose has seen fit to join us in this effort.  If only each nation was so proactive we'd face and defeat all the evil challenges of the world."

He smiles and at about that time his dog returns.

Grant will also bless those who need it with the Healing of Tyrogatore.

Once that is done, he will go over and inspect the dead creatures, specifically looking at their mouths/jaws.

"Ikraam, do these (gesturing to the jaws/teeth of the dead creature) look like they could have made the marks that you found on the boned of the Cleric of Stasis?"

Everyone feels the painful healing.  The Vigor is especially annoying as it is a slow burn every round.

The smaller creatures do not have teeth, but rather hardened wood lips.

I have the bag of bones with me, so I'll compare a bite mark on a bone with the mouths, claws, feet, and weapons of the vanquished creatures.  I'll also check the bones for any trace of silver blood or poison that was on the darts/arrows.

Stasis allows each culture to follow its own tradition as long as the body is not desecrated, such as eaten or made into tools or jewelry. Burial in a tomb, a grave, cairn are most common. A pyre I suppose in some places.

Okay then, Ikraam has one or two bones with marks on them.

I didn't think it was proper to talk about raising someone in front of a cleric of the god of death.  Just a thought.

(Ikraam has a firm grip on one of the bones and you can see the whites of his knuckles as he squeezes harder as the words escape Firfin's lips).  You are wise Keldaan...he is in the arms of my Lord now.  What's done is done and those whose time has come must pass through Dedestroyt's realm.  There will be no tampering with the dead in my presence.  We will find answers another way.  There is always another way.

If Tyrogatore wills it, I can. It might be the only way for us to discover what happened to him, since his soul could not be contacted. But if a speak with dead blessing has already failed, retuning him to life may prove difficult. We must try, unless Master Ikraam can make another suggestion.

I say this with no disrespect Ikraam. If there is a path before me that could uncover the Great Lizard's enemies, then I will take it, even if it shows disregard for one of the fundamental beliefs of your faith. I will be remorseful for offending you, for you have been a great aide to our cause, but this could mean the difference between the survival and extinction of the Religion in the Great Forest. I pray you understand.

Greetings Keldaan, friend of Solaris. Your arrival here is very opportune, and your offer of help in our crusade is most welcome. Tell me, how did you come to know of the plight of Tyrogatore, and how did you know we would come to Balinhost?

I was at a great battle in the string mountains to aid the dwarves and frost giants in fighting off a cultist army.  I fought side by side with Acsalos Thanos and Reik Sledgehammer against the cultist frost giants and we defeated them.  After the battle I heard Acsalos talk about the plight of the religion.  Reik and I decided to come and find you to help with the plot against the faiths of Stasis and Tyragatore.  Reik's contacts were able to track down your location so I traveled here to meet up with you.  I wanted to arrive as soon as possible so I could start helping right away so I had the powerful dwarven wizard Brack teleport me here.  However,  Reik  in keeping with the tenets of his faith refused to travel through arcane magical means so he will be joining us here some time soon.

"Acsalos has doe us a great service then, by drawing attention to the plight here.  I hope Stasis continues to guide him well."

By this point, three half-elves have entered the circle.  The leader of the three is Commander Bradtree, who is known to Grant and Haas from the Battle of the Forest Coalition.  The other two fall in behind him, clearly subordinates.

He is of average height and build.  He wears only a small red gem on his chest to identify him as a commander in the military.  His boots are dark brown, as are his leather leggings.  He wears a mithral chain shirt, not unlike Keldaan's.  His hair is a mess, which stand out against his otherwise well kept appearance.  You see a thin black headband beneath his hair.  In his hands are two sabres, although Haas and Grant don't know weaponry well, It is clear to the others that they are magical and old.

He looks to Firfin and Keldaan, "Can you report to me what has happened?"

I didn't see much I got here and there was dense vegetation covering this area.  I entered it invisible and was attacked by one of those (pointing to the creature on the ground) wielding a scythe.  There was then a blow of a horn or a whistle and the creatures fled and here we are now.

I guess the parenthesis are a little confusing. I was trying to say that I fought with a creature similar to the ones laying on the ground.  The one I fought was wielding a scythe.

It does not take long for Bradtree to have one of his soldiers identify the creatures as a Thorn, a Killoreen, and a redcap.  They are not sure about the last creature with the silver blood.

OOC: If raising is what the group decides, I'll cast an augury within a half hour of the ceremony to see if it's a good idea to raise the Cleric.  Further actions will be based on the answers Ikraam receives: however, if it comes to pass that the Cleric is brought back, I'll cast a Detect Heresy on him after he's raised to see if he's done anything shady against our collective faiths that may have brought about his untimely demise.

Also Commander, I was able to see our attackers during the confrontation.  If I am able to describe them, would you be able to tell us more of what we fought this day?
