He picks up the gauntlets and gives them a try.

Drax remains silent as Tox picks up the bracers, flinches in anticipation as Tox puts them on, and watches intently during his trial run.

After Tox discards them I'll cast a detect magic to determine school and strength.

What do the bracers look like? Do they have any markings or inscriptions on them?

They are subtlety decorated with elaborate runes.  It does not look ghoulish or human.

Even dumber than usual Tox nods. "What permission mean?"

Tox nods happily, puts the belt on and begins trying (very scientifically in fact) to figure out how much stronger the belt makes him. Picks something up he can't usually lift. If he gets it off the ground he adds some weight and tries again.
