As we head back, I search the battlefield for anything the creatures may have left behind, whether it be jade or anything else.

It is very dark and there is high grass, so can search but unless its glowing or obvious, you have little chance of finding anything.  There is nothing glowing or obvious.

I have darkvision, so I imagine I can see relatively well under the circumstances.  Around the area where we were swarmed, I take 20, so 2 minutes there.  I'll continue back the way we came and search the other area where we fought and take 20 there as well, so 2 more minutes.  Then I'll continue back to the wall where the giant Gnome cut down the samurai and I take 20 there, so 2 more minutes.  Six minutes, plus however long it takes me to walk back to town.
