Is there any other fallout from the attempt to sabotage the Icefean / Katho relationship?  Seems like we left in a hurry, might want to send some correspondents to both sides.  But I guess Professor Hardgrove knows all this already.
I am not sure why a entity from Dakon would care about a perceived alliance between two powers on Habololy.Or is it more two celestial powers, then contries?

To whom are you posing these questions?

Dylan squints painfully. " Yes.. we are currently in space.  Which amazingly is both darker and brighter all at the same time.   What we are doing when we get to Dakon is close the portal.  One might think, if we go there to close the portal how would we get back?  But saving our planet seems to be worth the sacrific.

Attempt 2 for Uther. To be clear, it is 8 days to the rift and you can discuss and ask questions in that time, but the session/season ended with the ship on dry land and all of you awakening to what are clearly not your stars or moon.

There was also a note from Professors Hargrove and Berko instructing you to uncover and thwart the enemy plan but to not close the rift if it can be avoided.

During the 8 days Uther is given a lesson on how to use the spelljammer helm. You can only provide a minimal amount of sustained propulsion, and you never actually go to full speed, but for this maneuvering speed you do just fine.

On the 4th day Dylan and Ruby are invited to Lord Tadrens quarters. They find the captain, the ships mage the navigator Tessa and Tadren surrounded by a pile of books and scrolls. Tadren tells you These are copies of all the works from my family and the Darpus family library on spelljamming. Dig in.

Probably Nisoru, after apologizing for taking his form, for the 100's time.

Digs in happily to the books, running little experiments of things he learns.

So I did post something here earlier in the week and it’s disappeared. I’ll leave this as a test to see if the problem reoccurs.

Uther also dives in to the research materials with Ruby and Dylan.

The materials are a diverse but fairly organized collection. Some of them detail the voyages of early Spelljammers, which include several of the noble and high noble families, others log ships that visited Habololy. The more utilitarian works discuss combat in space, atmospheric conditions and perhaps most important maneuvering in and out of orbit. There is repeated emphasis on the danger of fire, both to the ship and crew and to the ship’s atmosphere envelope.

What is notably absent, or at least under represented, are works about other worlds. Tadren tells you that many years ago there was a fire at the Tolist library and many precious works on the subject were destroyed. Not long after there was an attempt to steal the copies of many of the same works from the Bardic College.

There are several books discussing the space faring races including the Mind Flayers, Beholders, Neogi and others. There are also details about many of the common sorts of ships. After reading through them it’s clear that the White Sword is not built for a long voyage. It has too many crew to sustain and maintain a clean atmosphere. However, with a few exceptions, it outguns almost anything you could encounter by a considerable margin.

By day 5 Burke appears to have recovered all of his strength (and reclaimed any missing bits of equipment). Fully arrayed, his dress is clearly not of any Habololian culture. All of his gear has seen hard use but is of the sort of quality the nobles are accustomed to. He would look most at home among the Wokals or Colrains; not as rough as an Arramoor or as fine as a DeGala.

He spars with the marines and the captain, easily defeating them. The warriors among you think is technique less sophisticated than Nisoru’s, more reckless and aggressive. A duel between them likely would be unfair only because of Nisoru’s age but you are certain he would be no match for Syionese Etch just based on your limited time observing him at the Iron Tower.

Well that’s going to be a problem for Uther.

It’s not that you can’t use fire. All the cooking is done on a hearth for example, just the particular danger it poses.

On the 6th day there is a commotion on deck and the chief calls everyone to their stations. Your Minotaur captive has disappeared from the brig. No one is sure when he was last seen and for over an hour the ship is searched deck by deck until a lookout calls the captain back to the deck. Looking through the ships largest spyglass you can see his frozen corpse floating in space miles behind you.

That's unfortunate.  Do I detect any evil onboard?  I'll search the entire ship if I have to.
