It has been five weeks since the Gamelel Cruise left Newporton.

I was off by a bit, there is still about 5.5 hours of darkness each night.

First thing Ozmodius does is ask the women of this village if they require any healing or fresh water.  I help with whatever chores they need done, then I make my way to the rest of the group and fill them in on the blue winged creature that has been kidnapping men and terrorizing the women.  I share the child's drawing with the group.

"Well, I realize we haven't known each other long, but I have grown to trust you all in our harrowing adventures at sea.  We've all defended each other and aided each other without question.  That is most admirable.  (Ozmodius bows to everyone after saying this).  Mirel said that once I arrived in the Motherland that opportunities would present themselves to further my growth as a healer and prepare me for my obligations as the Pastor of Tafferville.  I believe this is just the opportunity she was referring to.  That said, I feel a moral obligation to assist these villagers in their time of need.  If anyone is willing to help, it would be much appreciated.  I intend to stay and help these people then investigate the fiend that plagues them.  As you may have picked up, I'm not the physical type, so it would be in our best interest to come up with a strategy before charging off in the direction of this creature.  The villagers mentioned that we have two days before the creature arrives back to town, so that gives us some time to form a plan.  I'm open to any suggestions you all may have."

The name of the village is Ti Ka'lati.

The name of the fisherman Taye hired for the voyage is Sakori.

The name of the elder woman who you are talking to is Si'amta.

The village is about a half mile from the shore, and a little farther than that from where you brought the boat in to land.

The fields are rolling low hills than slop up from the water and are covered in a knee high blue green grass.

The village is surrounded by a two foot stacked stone wall and the homes are made of bamboo and clay.

There are roughly one hundred buildings in the village.  There is no watch tower, but there is a water tower.

You see a variety of farmed animals.

There are also an inordinate amount of rabbits in the fields.  There are light brown in color with pointed not floppy ears.

They are all amused by you and seem to require no assistance with the chores.  They are happy to have you around and very happy to hear such a strange creature worships Quan Yin.  You are told by the elder woman that the beast, which they call the Zankokuna aoi kemono, the young ones shorten to Zank, destroyed the shrine to Quan Yin when it arrived and took the priest.

I'd like to make rescuing the priest a mission priority.

This situation has a Magnificent Seven feel to it.

Can we get a description of the area of the temple construction (e.g., underground, in a tree, on a cliff)?

How far away is the temple?

Is this creature by itself when it visits? How about at the construction site?

Does the creature travel by foot or flight when it arrives here?

Can you describe the lightning symbol that was observed on the temple?

Much closer to Seven Samurai methinks, but yes.

It is a half mile away on top of a hill.

Some other Horarians travel with it.  They are not from the village, except one who has joined it.
