The current leaders of Owt:

Orwell, the highest ranking constable still able to function.  He is a halfling with blonde hair in his 30's.  Other than the hair color, he matches every typically halfling trait.  He has been a constable for just over five years.

"I was not the best or most senior, and that seems to have spared me from being a target.  Only one in four constables are still able to work now.  We can't keep watch on the jails, so we are house arresting, but that only works so much.  The regular criminals are having an easy go of it now.  The sheriff was kidnapped early in the siege, his name is Kyle Sharplefe.  We tried to track him down until we ran out of people that could do it.  All of the trackers and hunters are missing."

Barney the 'Bigtoe' is the commander of the Foot in Owt.  A hairball shaped like a dwarf with a squashed, oft broken nose and a voice the is deep but breaks occasionally.  He looks like he must be over 60, but it could be wear from a hard life making him look older.

"We are the best organized group left in Owt.  Our method of keeping the peace is not accepted by all, but they will learn." He nods to the Tyrogatorians present.  "Only two of our number have fallen victim to fey trickery so far.  We ave one among us who has been able to break a few of the fey, he is quite skilled at finding them, but it is a tough battle....creek scratch....we fight.  The leaders wait outside the community, I bet they are waiting for the resident to break completely."

Lady Veronia Hoveon-Delmera is the Owl Guard.  She is an elven woman with a long face, big eyes and an outfit that would best described as regal except for the forest colors.  She has been the owl guard in the forest for nearly fifty years, but has remaining as the cleric of Treetop in Owt that entire time.  You are given the impression she does not sleep; nor does she appear to sit much either.

"My owls are everyone, they are our eyes and ears and as the winter dark approaches they will prove themselves even more.  We have not been able to talk to our enemies yet, despite efforts to parley.  I am beginning to doubt whether they would be agreeable to any arrangement other than our complete capitulation."

Although they do not meet you that night, you are told the other leaders are:

Cinda, a human sorcerer of the fey bloodline that has sided against Scalehome.  She has lived in and around Owt her whole life and they see her a somewhat of a zealot.

Kellen, the emenotan champion you know

A number of elderly halfling crafters that are to keep stability in their home areas.  The old seem to be fairing better against the confusions and illusions.

We summoned Haas to the fight with the T-rex token then battled the beast.  We weren't doing well, but as soon as Haas arrived, he giant sized himself and engaged in combat.

Ash rode out of danger and took to the roofs after dis-mounting the horse.  He plugged away with arrows.  The rest of us engaged in melee or cast spells.

The Swanmay tried to flee, but she was caught, grappled, then swallowed.  We tried to stop it, but we couldn't.  The shadow creature cast dimensional anchor on her for good measure.

Haas eventually banished the darkness with celestial light and hit the creature with a harm spell.  The rest of us managed to get a few lucky shots in, but it wasn't enough to take it out.  Vor'Ruk almost killed it with a mighty charge, but luck of the dice was not on our side as the strike hit the last remaining image and not the creature.  It teleported away.

We regrouped at camp and Haas spent a day restoring all our lost levels.  We met with the elder council members and discussed our next move.  We debated going after the wurm after Haas located its position, but instead we decided to move forward with our plans to help Owt.

The hummingbird ship took us to a park in Owt and we made our way to a Halfling sympathizers home.  He directed us to the mayors place, but we were intercepted by the owl guard on the way.  She brought us to one of their safe houses and we met/discussed the status of the people described in DM's previous posts.  They're all beat up pretty bad and morale is low since nobody knows what's real and what's an illusion.  That's where we left off.

"They move there camps regularly, and we don't have the scouts to keep track.  When we did, there were about 3,000 of them."

A tactical strike against the kobold camp might elicit a response from the fey.
