So what you're saying is...all those medals and uniforms we found at Gneverever's would be worth a fortune.   ;)

For sure, just sail into the Republic and fence them.  What could be so hard with that :)

Nothing a group of 1st level characters can't handle.  Consider it done.

Do we know each other? And can we collaborate so we don't overlap significantly?

Oh. You were serious about that.

I'm trying to work out a bard.

GRIT is the Great Republic Institute of Technology.  You can only be a student by invitation only.

There was no wide spread destruction from the war on technology here. Many of the older buildings have exterior pipping and old bits of technology through out them that are either still working, or broken and haven't been fixed.  Access to newer working tech is limited to the elite.  Which you used to be part of.

You all live in the city of Deifae

It's on the eastern coast, in the northern part of the republic.  The terrain is hilly and splattered with lakes, and rivers.  In fact the city is situated on several of the larger hills/islands that seemed to grew out of the sea itself.  Several rivers / inlets separate parts of this large city.  Being on the most northern port city there is a significant naval presents, as well as the only fleet of ice breakers known on habololy.

Deifae has a thriving crabbing, fishing, and whaling industry.  Inhabitants that can afford it also often feast on goats, rams, and sheep.

Connecting the parts of the city are some of the most ancient suspension bridges on the planet. Some whisper that GriT engineers couldn't build another today without outside help.

The Grean republic does not like freeloaders...

If you are put before a judge for any reason, and do not have gainful employment you will be assigned a job.  Depending on the judge (cleric) you will be assigned work usually well below your capability.  Parole officers blanket the city keeping people working at their assigned jobs.

It's spring in the republic.  The frozen rivers have melted.  With most of the republic being warm, Deifea is the exception, being high on the northern coast.

What are the generally accepted religions in the Republic?

I assume Gruweas, Han~Sui, and Everventual would be the top 3.

Anything outright banned?

The Oldest Orc is one of the top religions.  Lakius because of the sea is well represented.

Compture is effectively banned, as there are no shrines, temples, or evangelization of the religion allowed.

Tommimao is effectively banned because anything the faithful would do (substances, travel freely) is banned.

Gnarion and Dresta are banned; as are Chaos and Vishtoo.

Wandle is implicitly banned.  Meaning her name is not mentioned, but laws regarding things that her faithful would have to do exist.
