Is there any way for me to find out who's on the defense teams, or am I prevented from that since I'm required to testify?

It has not been announced and its possible that even the judge doesn't know yet.  Gnemjay is talking to all of the defendants.

All the characters should prepare thoughts on what their character does if no noteworthy events occur for one to twelve months.

I plan on getting my farm and shrine setup in any time we have available. I make a trip home via "transport via plants" to arrange resources and help. After I testify, of course.

I also talk to the mayor and Gneon about Habastly's role as steward over the "buffer" lands adjacent to Vestalion's fortress.

The mayor says, "Of course we accept your role as grovetender of the lands."

Gneon says, "Other than the lands you own, you will have to take that up with the individual land owners."

For clarity, I meant that I would take whatever lands were closest to Vestalion as part of my claim, and keep an eye on the buffer zone that gets established around the fort. Has someone already laid claim to those areas?

Sorry, they both have no issue with you taking those lands, and they have not already been claimed.  They are some of the farthest from Grimhold.

Harrick will happily take the lands "just" on the other side of the boundry, if Vestalion allows me, otherwise, adjacent to Finns.

I plan to work this farm with a complete skeleton crew.  Hopefully Finn won't feel the need to build a wall.

For the army, yes.  They move about 2 miles an hour.

Habastly will provide. After Finn gains ~10,000 more xp. Time to get posting!

The trial begins, but not before the crowds have to be calmed multiple times and threatened with the trial being closed if it continues.

A variety of spells are put in place for the questioning.

The prosecution begins.

The prosecution takes a direct, quick, fact based approach  They ask questions Harrick, Marston, Finn, and Sly.  Artemus does not testify.  You are not given time to expound or monologue while questioned.  The judge does not allow it and the prosecutor does not want it.  The prosecutor submits the results of several spells cast in the area to bolster your answers.  He does not mention the gardener's nature, Harrick's new deity, or Gnorton's rank.

It goes so fast the audience barely has time to digest it.

The prosecution's time is short enough that the daily meal break is held after it ends.  Returning in the afternoon, the judge tells the defense to begin.  It becomes clear that the defense is planning to take a lot of time and play to emotions.
