They have been releasing some pages of the DMG with magic items.

- No item lists an xp cost to create or a purchase cost or creation cost in gold
- the rings requirement some sort of attunement before they can be used
- there is no magic types listed (based on spell school)
- there is a rarity listed for each item

From what I gather, there is no more magic item factory line or systematic creation.  Items are created in more of a storyline, cinematic fashion.  Note that for the playtest, this will be how I run the game, so don't anticipate many magic items to start and theoretically any that you encounter will have a story and be notable.

Wands now crumble after they have used all of their charges and they cannot be recharged.
