As we are walking Quorl does not engage anyone in conversation.  He moves steadily toward the barracks(think that was first stop) at a measured pace.  He seems intent on watching what is going on around you but if he is listening to your conversations he gives no sign of it.

"I would have though, with the food situation ad dire as it is, that there would not be anything more fearsome than a field mouse for miles.  (looking up) Well, other than the Wyverns that is.  Anything edible would have found a pot by now, and any animals that would eat those as well would have been driven off for lack of food, or found themselves in a pot as well."
