I don't know, would Ari know what he normally carries? Nisoru surely would know if I don't.
Asinjin may be confusing Sir Lucas, Ari's mentor, with Sir John, the captain of the Royal Guard, who you saw imprisoned.  You recovered and returned Sir Lucas' items.

Okay then, I have a 6th level spell (although it has to be divination).  So I cast Analyze Dweomer on his items.  I am looking for the bonuses on the items mainly.

"Do we need to return this short sword to anyone?" cough cough
The sword is +3. The bracers are +6, the cloak and ring +3. The bow is +3 and the arrows are a mix of 1 and 2.

Nisoru says "No, many of his swords were commissioned and sold. It would be worth a great deal to the right buyer. If this one, gesturing to the sorcerer, has a blade such as that, I wonder with what Herron is armed."

Asinjin will take the wand of Lightning.

Rubius, wand of healing?

Parker, magic missiles?

"Does anyone else use Short Swords?  If not, I will take it.  But I imagine someone else can make better use of it."

It the ring both armor and saves, if so I will take it, if not, I don't need it.

There are some items of great value there.

To the sorcerer, "Tell me your story.  Where are you from, what got you into this line of work?  Where do you draw you power from, I mean what is your ancestry?  How long have you known Heron?  DO you have a family? etc etc."

Just armor (deflection) for the Ring.

"I am from the far west of Yellowia. I joined the army as a boy. I wanted to serve in the Emerald Brigade but was passed over for selection. Herron worked for High Mage Deldoran and he recruited me to join him. For eight years I served the crown as an agent.  Herron and I no longer officially serve Lord Deldoran but the crown "hires" us for sensitive missions. I have a fey bloodline, and I have no connection to my family."

Yes please.

Rubius could use the short sword.
Is it sized for a halfing or human?

If human sized I could use a backup weapon when my 2 holy swords aren't a good option.

We ever divvy up the coin from the linnorm?

Yes with some limitations that don't apply here.  Actually, Sir Batholomew, Arion and Huthrim have first claim to them. Huthrim would like the lightning Master's ring or the eyes of the eagle in that order.  Arion asks for any of the defensive items you don't want for he or Lira.

With all that said, Asinjin will claim only the wand of Lightning and whatever is left over.
