Manlow please tell us what happened.

Despite the events, the middle aged white haired, on the thinner side human looks no different than when you entered.  He is wearing the standard grey, white and blue robes of Lakius and shows no signs of being cold despite his lack of footwear and being wet.

"I don't remember much clearly.  It has been like a dream for a couple years.  Foggy and never leaving the temple.  Seemed nice.  I was praying a lot.  Occasionally I had bad dreams.  Maybe the acolytes can tell more."

A group of four constables arrive after a minute more.  Three dwarves and a human.  They yell, "Is everyone okay!  Cleric Manlow, is everything under control?"

He responds with a not yell, "It's okay now, but come in a look around."

They pause and the dwarven caster casts before they enter.

Having seen the large elemental leave the ship, Amare sent a couple crew (all Vass) to investigate.  They remain outside when they see the constables.

Midiyro and Sven are with them as well.

Zelek, and I imagine Veronica and Kasai, are in need of healing.  Maybe Nathan as well.

Yeah Nathan took a beating.  Although I can heal the people that need it if the constables will allow me to.

Valdis goes over and looks into the pool

The pool now looks the same as it did when the cleric of sitting in it.  You see no signs of the tentacle, or your own blood.

There are slimy remains of one tentacle that you cut off in the temple still there, but not in the pool.

Do the constables start taking a report?  If so I tell them everything that happened.

They take a report from Manlow first, and when he tells them, they begin to take your names and stories.  It is done in an orderly fashion.  Within ten minutes, there are ten constables here and one looks like a significant caster.

Thoffin arrives after them and begins to barrel around.  To your disappointment, he is in charge once he arrives.

"Keep your selves quiet and don't speak up unless spoken to!  I warned ye all."

While Valdis waits, he sits down and absent-mindedly stabs the tentacle piece with his scimitar.

The necklace can cast 8 times per day.

All of the arcane scrolls at 8th level.

The potion of healing is 2d8+4.

The hard scales add 3 to natural AC for an hour.  Note that it requires you cover 50% or more of your body, so those in armor or heavily clothed are hard pressed to use it.

The process takes two hours, during which constable clerics and wizards arrive to cast a variety of spells.  The crew that arrived later (Vass and such) are sent back to the ship.  You are all told to sit calmly and asked questions separately.

Ssaskra is cooperative and succinct in his responses. He uses his natural ability to connect with people (+43 diplomacy) to develop a collaborative working relationship built on mutual respect with constables so that we might find out later what they learn from their investigation.

Thoffin is impressed by Sas's attitude and soon takes to talking to him directly and ignoring everyone else.  The other constables go about their work quickly and efficiently, as if to be finished as soon as possible.

To Sas: "Sounds to me like ya may 'av caused this by shown' up 'ere; but since ye took care 'o the problem with no damage er deaths, I think no charges sounds right."

We have a meeting with the Clerics of Smofarf tomorrow and assuming that meeting does not give us any reason to stay longer then we will be leaving shortly after it.  Nathan's assumes that we won't get much information from the constables unless Sas's amazing diplomacy allows us to learn something.

I plan to address this whole situation with the cleric of smofarf along with Claude's situation.

When we get a chance I also take the time to questions the cleric of Lakius and his acolytes.  Can the cleric send for his acolytes for us to meet with all of them.  I try to find from the cleric of Lakius and his acolytes.  As much information as they have on the tentacles.

When did the cleric come under the abyssal creatures influence?  When did they notice any significant changes in the clerics behavior?  Do we find any symbols or clues that Dagon was involved.

Anyone else have any information that we think we can get then feel free to ask it.

Manlow will send for the acolytes.  "There are two, both human, Ted and Sandra."  Nathan knows that Lakian standard is not to have many clerics at one temple.

Does Nathan have an answer to Taiji's questions?

I was also thinking that he might not have been necessarily possessed but he could have been holding it off in someone way and maybe after doing that for such a long time that he lost his memory. These questions will all be directed to the cleric and his acolytes.  Either way Nathan realizes that he most do something about this because this could be happening in many of the temples where there is a hermit in charge and people would be less likely to notice a cleric behaving strangely.

"That was unexpectedly aggressive. No offense intended, Captain.

To make sure I understand roles correctly, I believe it is the owner's responsibility to make decisions about income and expenses. Asset management and the beneficial deployment of resources is the responsibility of the Captain, yes?"

Some good old fashioned diplomancy will help smooth out the Captain's attitude/turn him into a fanatical supporter of all of Ssaskra's ideas.

Side note: Since Ssaskra acquired his continuous Tongues item, you notice he no longer draws out every "s" when he speaks.
