Three weeks to discuss many things:

-Keldaan and Firfin's plan details
-Talking to Rafeal and Linda about the Fey
-Questions for or from your new ally Reik
-Things to do in Balinhost
-Questions for Brother Leo
-Questions for Commander Bradtree
-Equipment for Lennie

Haas why you have Lennie on your back?  That funny.  I think Lennie not that tall but looks like Lennie.  I think Lennie get a giant Haas on his back.  The giant Haas will be taller then a Halfling because Haas so short.   Hahaha Lennie make joke.   But Lennie still get tatoo of Haas that not joke.

Another issue to consider: did you ever come to a resolution about whether or not to try and have the cleric of Stasis, Robert, raised?

I thought we concluded it could not be done as we only have the ability to reincarnate him?

Roland will talk to the wizards about the fey.

You personally can't, but there are clerics in Balinhost that can.

The wizards, the male Nipit Rafeal and the female Fironi Linda, meet you at a cafe that serves tea.  It is an open air cafe that seats nearly 50.

The two are friendly and personable, and the cling closely to each other.

They are middle aged, as best you can tell.  They are both thin and don't seem to Roland as if they could handle themselves physically in a fight.

What.. a cleric dead... " Something to think about, ya might be cruel but if Statis is truly cut off, then you might not wanna raise the lad, he might not come back, or be able to"

I have no quarrel with the fey, seelie or unseelie, but they seem to have set themselves against my cause. I need to know why and if they can be convinced to give up their alliegance to who ever it is that wants us to fail.

If they cannot be turned aside I must know how to fight them. Again, this is not my wish. I have more than enough enemies, some related to my holy cause and others that are a consequence of my choices alone.

If you wish to protect the people of Balinhost, and all the Forest, I would ask you to help us; either convince them to leave us alone or tell me how to defeat them.

The two smiling, almost giddy at all times, are taken somewhat off guard by Roland demeanor.  As they respond, it is clear they are uncomfortable talking to someone who is not sipping wine or tea and speaking in happier tones.

"The Fey have been very unsettled since Arborea was cut off to them."

"Do you know about the Abyssal ban?"

"At first Chaos was rampant."

"Which is odd considering they were cut off from a place of chaos.  You'd have theorized the opposite."

"We talked quite often to them about it.  Trying to help with knowledge of this plane and others."

"Some listened."

"Some turned quickly to other deities."

"Do you know who Avoreen is?  He's quite nice, and Halfling."

"Some fell into a bad way.  We learned that the unseelie used the opportunity to prey on the Fey that now had no deity."

"Likely this quickling you encountered was one of those."

Roland will sip the tea.

I know little of the ban except that it exists. It seems to me a good thing but I was under the impression that it was laid down long ago and yet you speak of the fey's problems as if they have occurred in your lifetimes?

I know nothing of alien powers or of the planes. Only Stasis among the powers of the upper planes do I know anything about and only because he is Tyrogatore's ally.

If you cannot persuade the fey to leave us be I would ask you to tell me of their weaknesses.

"The connection to Arborea, and to the Abyss, has gotten weaker.  Recently, it has gotten to the point where it is almost severed completely."

"Any connection hangs by the smallest thread.  The Fey can no longer travel in between this world and that using the faerie paths."

They are more at ease when you drink the tea, but still nervous.  Neither of them have a weapon, and few in Balinhost that aren't obviously constables or guards wear one.

"To fight the fey, you want magical cold iron and sometimes silver."

As beings connected to Chaos can I assume axiomatic spells and weapons will afflict them as well?

Do you have any hope that you can reach someone of their kind who can negotiate with them or at least tell us of their involvement in all of this ?

"We have communicated with some of them.  They are unwilling to tell us anything, but to ensure us that Balinhost is safe."

Balinhost is not safe. Eventually the enemies of Tyrogatore and Stasis will come to Balinhost for their followers and there will be blood. I suspect the fey are pawns in this but those that manipulate them will not be satisfied until the faiths of Tyrogatore and Stasis are destroyed; so whatever bargain the fey have struck can only be settled with violence as the coin. If you do not wish to see the fey suffer you should work to dissuade them after we leave.

Hey.. um.. I know I'm late to the party, and.. well... Drunnbar knows i'm always up for a constitution testing war, I mean heck, we've been defending ourselves against the underhanded brothers of blast mountain since the dawn of time.  I mean when you have all the magic in the world you don't mind fighting every day, and running away to recharge and coming back the next day. ... aggggrh... Err.. anyway, What I mean is why would these gods array themselves against Tygorgator and Stasis.  Why would they want to destroy the faith?  Have I missed something?  Something tells me if you wanted to gain power, there are other faiths that might be a tad easier to knock off.   Why pick to fight against two of the better martial faiths?.. I'm not a strategist, but something else is going on.

Firfin says, "I know it is strange for Everentual to ally with the others, so he must have a reason.  I know that he has never liked Stasis because of his morality and ethics and because of his home in the upper planes.  As for Tyrogatore, their falling out over Hammel centuries ago has never healed.  Those could be reason enough to ally with other to see the religions fall."

After some thought, "It surprises me that Compture is not involved in this. Such a huge change would sort it well."

We know so little of the plot. There is no reason to think they are equal partners. Everventual could be manipulating the others, particularly the cults, in the hope that the struggle will leave them weak and vulnerable themselves. Or it could be that the Counsil powers and the cult powers are not in league but have the same goals. It matters not for we are but mortals and the plans of the powers are beyond us. All we can do is thwart their servants with sword and fist.

Who hammel?  Tell Lennie story.

"In the time of mortal Stasis, but before he came to the world, there was a hero named Hammel the Good.  A Nipit of great virtue, honor, and valor.  He wandered the world seeking out those in need.  He was a knight paladin and friend to all....

In the end he was betrayed by Stasis son, Gideon.  Hammel was taken to Hertoplowis where he was put on trial and banished from the world."

Another issue to consider: did you ever come to a resolution about whether or not to try and have the cleric of Stasis, Robert, raised?
Since his faith prohibits reincarnations, it is not in my power to restore Robert's life. It is therefore up to his clergy to decide. We know who is coordinating the attacks in this area, so I see no need to try to raise Robert just to find out who attacked him.

Yes, I practice Saoi Callum but am far from a master of the style.  I learned from several of the masters of the Twin Boulder clan who call themselves friends to the Sledgehammers.  I would accept blessing from Tyrogatore the honorable giant lizard who trains to improve oneself, and doesn't rely on magics, but your blessings must have the will to force your way through  my natural spell resistance.  I also have some elemental earth talents granted to me by Drunnbar, the lord of elemental earth!

Perhaps rather than sitting idle, we can spend the time collecting the local clerics with the aid of a windwalk blessing. After Leonard is sufficiently armed (aid with a mild amount of disdain), then we can confront this Brewer poisoning our faithful.

Roland, I know little of arms and armor. Can you aid brother Leonard to get what he needs? I have ~4000 gc and a blessed ring of strength (+2) to offer the crafter. I suggest something potent against fey if that is an option.

Umm.. Lad.. your not casting any Windwalk blessing on me.  Earth Glide, Earth Mastery or nothing.  Being that I am one with the earth, casting something so.. umm.. airy isn't going to roll.  You might be looking for more comfortable boots, or perhaps a wagon and a sturdy mule.

I know nothing of armor and in the interest of time I suggest a set of bracers or other protection. As for a weapon, it would take quite some time to forge and enchant a weapon suited to his size.

If we intend to wait, Haas and I could travel by windwalk to the clerics. Ikraam and Reik could begin their trek to our ultimate destination. We could meet at the last non-lizard folk town.

Grant, who has been listening patiently to all parties, chimes in,

"I believe we have to move on as quickly as possible, and as a group.  The Fey appear to be this 'force' that is removing our and Stasis' faithful from the forest.  We now know better what we are dealing with.  With the help of the scholars, we can learn what we need to defeat any Fey we come across.  But, time is still of the essence, as they say.  The longer we delay, the more faithful we risk losing."

"As for weapons and armament for our returned brother, I agree with Brother Roland, in that magical bracers might be best due to our current time restrictions.  Also, if we can get weapons that will assist us in damaging the Fey.  I believe the Scholars might have the necessary information in that regard.  While it may not be an axe, brother Leonard, it will allow you to fight effectively against our foes."
Title: Re: Allies Revealed

Three days after Lennie returned, as you are waiting for have armor and weapons made and planning out your actions, the gathered faithful of Tyrogatore are 'praying' in the morning.

During 'prayers' you notice that Lennie is better than you remember at wrestling and at pray overall.

After prayer time, Roland and Lennie spar, with whatever large weapon Lennie has found.  After a few minutes, it is clear that Lennie is fumbling far more than you would expect.

Since most people watching are trained warriors, what you notice with Lennie is that his fist and weapon use are on par with each.  You also notice that anything fancy you have seen him do with the ax  he is not able to do now.  He swings it much slower with less accuracy and skill.   (ooc:  Lennie used to have weapon focus, greater weapon focus, and mastery with the Ax)
