It is now the 12th day of the 7th month of 790.
Experience:
Ajax - 1250 (I know, its rough being so high level)
Haas - 1300 (Not much better being 2nd highest)
Valizar, Vor'Ruk, and Grant - 2500
Marco - 3000
Bonus for everyone for getting no giants killed, friend or foe: 1500
-
Post questions and ideas, lets get this done.
-
Lukevar Madraken has been with you, and has stayed mostly quiet. He is not talkative by nature anyway, and he is not in awe of you the way Sir Fortesur and Jovin are.
When you are in the Sultan's fortress, he does finally speak of note. "Jaswap has not regular forces that can effect this battle. It is only their defenses around their city that have prevented the giants from sacking it long ago. They have been trying for decades to take it, only to be thwarted by heroes such as yourselves. If they are coming, I doubt they can do much. They likely do not realize the scale of this lopsided battle. 800 giants with 1000 on the way vs this fortress and its 50 defenders. We can not hold out. My opinion it to go out and strike the head from this army and not care who they say helped who win it. I don't want to die, but this will be an epic battle and dying here would certainly grant me a spot at Han~Sui's side."
He turns to Valizar, "Shall we see who claims more giants? Han~Sui or Tyrogatore? The loser builds a shrine for the winner's deity."
-
Albessi says, "Now here is a tale I can tell for all my years."
Turning to Ajax, "Your gate was just as impressive, but if I tell it, my crowd would run away."
-
Haas - 1300 (Not much better being 2nd highest)

That’s enough for Haas - now 19th level with access to 9th level spells.

Look out!
-
It should be noted that the siege has not included a bombardment by catapult or other machines of war.
Hassam the ambassador thinks that they do not want to destroy the palace.

It would be best if we could unite the giants and take their army into Greenfellow's keep. I have many skulls left to crush there...The Devourer, Zat, Greenfellow...then I must get to Stronmus' realm and challenge him to break the curse on my foot and remove his evil from existence. Valizar begins to drool and froth slightly when mimicking the gestures involved in curb stomping and Flair chopping.
As for shrines...I don't build shrines; only muscle. Valizar begins flexing obnoxiously at this comment.

Lukevar nods and says little else.

Grant, overhearing the conversation, chastises Valizar. "Brother Valizar, did you just refuse a challenge to show the strength of our mighty lord Tyrogatore? Do you believe one of Han~Sui's faithful to be stronger in battle than one of our Lord's faithful? I think building a shrine would be a fitting penance should your battle prowess be inferior to that of Lukevar's"
-
Ajax (still 20th) asks: what can you tell us of the usurper’s abilities and the same for the Tyrantmaker?
-
In response to Lukevar: I agree that we must defeat the leaders, but if they remain here it is unlikely that we be able to face them. They have already refused the sultan’s challenge.
I know little of Jaswap’s prowess on the battlefield (which is very different from the style of fighting in the circle, where they clearly excel) and I take what you say as true. That being the case, perhaps they can cut off the giant cohort and delay them enough to force the Tyrantmaker to leave the siege.

From Nabil and Hassam: "Hafir is a warrior and a sultan. He has no magical powers other than items he may have. Gerton rides a Nightmare and his flames burn even us giants."

Anyone that opposes me will be crushed. I was simply sparing Lukevar the trouble of having to build us another shrine.

Their response, "We need to know what the force from Jaswap is like before we know."

Let’s find out who Nebil’s delegate has been contacting specifically. Haas will then return instantaneously to Jaswap via Word of Recall to find out what he can from Milo and the other clerics at the Temple about that individual and the “army’s†mobilization to Baenrl.
-
Can Grant cast sending?
If yes, contact the leader of the cloud giants. We have a common enemy in this fire giant coup. I cannot imagine they would want to see a Sutyr loyalist return to the throne in Baenrl. Convince the cloud giants to intervene and delay the fire giant deserters in the forest.
-
Who will grant send because most sending are blocked? Ajax did you sword say if Nabeel would become a great leader?

Father Haas, if you leave, how will you return in time? We are moments away from a fight. There are 1000 giants on their way from the forest. They move fast and will quickly be ready to assault the keep along with the other 800 camped out here.

Gamnin Trace, Lord Captain of Jaswap.

I don't remember if Grant knows any of the Cloud giants. Worst case scenario, he can wait for the cloud to show up and fly up to try to talk to them
-
Vor'ruk just paces the rooms, back and forth.

We only know sendings to Nabil are blocked. We still don’t know by whom.
Unrelated (maybe), we know the Iott is spying on magical communications to and from prominent individuals. As High Cleric, I am a target. Grant may not be monitored.

The force encamped here will not attack until the other giants arrive. We have a few days, at least. Nabil, how far can that horde travel in a day? We know where and when we left them.

We’ve fought them several times, including their leader. That’s enough familiarity for sending. I doubt they will act in any way that would help us. But we should try, if we can.
-
How far from the palace’s wall are the fire giants camped?
I may be able to harass them. I can cast a chained giant vermin spell - find me 21 scorpions.

Nabil says, 30 miles is the most I think they could travel in a day.

As the crow flies, not far; but its down a winding path. So 2200 feet and 5500 feet.

The leader, the storm giant cleric, his name is Honus. You would all know that at this point.

That means that they are still many days away, probably at least 10.
