Greenfellow (Neutral Neutral)

The track to full deity status was interrupted just as it was about to reach the goal.  The forest was on the verge of falling under Greenfellow's control.  A few short decades and 816 would be the year when the dragon would become deity of the great forest, dragons, and fey.  The reign of Iott and the return of the Golden Mother stalled the progress.

The religion did little to aid or oppose Iott, Kallark, or Sutyr.

Greenfellow remains the most powerful individual quasi deity and his domain of scalehome undisputedly the most secure realm of any such entity.  Most believe that he could have transcended to the planes and taken the route to cult if he so chose.

The best known member of the faith is the voice of the nation of Scalehome, Giovanni Scalefriend.

For the first time, his high cleric has been seen outside of Scalehome, perhaps recognition that a new plan is needed to reach the dragon's goal.  Lixen is a dragon-winged fey of unknown background you is quite diplomatic in his travels.

We should have let Valizar put a dent in his following before the Battle of Mount Ila'Alnar.

Frostine (Neutral Evil)

The religion of Frostine was effected little by the reign of Iott.  The Iottians made few attempts to exert much influence over the chosen.  While the Frost Giant and Ice Gnomes were effected, their respect for and worship of Iott were not changed.

Sutyr betrayal let the religion go on a full offensive against the now cult faith.  Allied with Stasis and Gnarion and many other religions in the effort, Frostine's faith celebrated Sutyr's ultimate defeat.  That death dwindled the number of deity's that held fire in their faith to one, and since Sutyr's betrayal, none on the Counsil.  816 proved to be a very cold year around the world.

Enemies make strange bedfellows lead to the religion allying once again with Stasis in defending against a new cult in western Icefia that threaten not only Frostine's realm with the chosen but also infringed upon some of his portfolio of power.

The high cleric remains Farn Winterson, a chosen who has long resided in the frozen north of Icefia.

Better known and more feared is the Frost Giant Hestervandeffel.  An Inquisitor and Icebringer, he traveled the world after Sutyr's betrayal looking specifically for giant clerics and unholy warriors of the deity.  Whether hidden among the stone giants of the orcish empire, the hill giants of Yellowia, or in Baenrl itself, he found them out and drove his mighty ice spear through their heads.  Before returning to the String Mountains, it is said that he had a crate of nearly one hundred frozen giant heads.

After the Counsil meeting in 816, he is said to have set off on a new quest.

Dresta (Neutral Evil)

The goddess of the moon and her religion did and changed little during the reign of Iott.  Her faithful were not the target of any plot or attacks outside of Icefia where a persecution began after Sutyr's betrayal.

The high cleric remains the beautiful half-elf Pennia DeKaterine, who has spent a fair amount of time in the Great Forest where a good number of unseelie have joined the religion.

The bloodthirsty werebat Hirz'mit, who has terrorized the Great Forest and Great Plateau since the time of the plagues is a known faithful member of the religion.

Arsur'Anyodel (Chaotic Good)

Similar to her sister of the moon, Arsur'Anyodel  and her religion changed little in the years between Counsil meetings.  It was not a target of Iott's and it did not take on a prime role in either the defeat of Iott or Sutyr.

The high cleric is Atiana Darkgale, a Yellowian who resides at the Temple of the First Beam in the hills near the kingdom.  She has been the high cleric for four decades and travels little in her old age.

After the end of the Great Forest War, the Nightingale Larysa, a halfling that had helped protect the forest during the war and a long time hero left for other lands.  In these years she became one of the best known heroes of the world.  With most focused on Iott and the great problems, she remained focused on smaller issues.  She spent a notable amount of time in Icefia, Kathwo-tio-Horari, and Ekarude before heading to Yellowia.

While reading this entry, all I could hear was Windblade's cackling laughter and the ever so faint melody of "Celebration" by Kool and the Gang.

Dourvan (Lawful Neutral [good])

The longtime quasi deity had a resurgence of notoriety after his role in the final defeat of Sutyr.  His time before that in the increasingly isolated nation of Pacyr was on a slow decline.  Before the battle, he had not been seen in over a century and some worried that he had died or faded from the world.

The truth became known after the battle.  Lyla had been laying claim to the portfolio of planning and strategy.  Her efforts had been so successful that Dourvan was weakening.  Pacyr's isolation meant that his faithful could not travel.  Iott's agents around the world had secretly and slowly killed off his clerics in other nations.

The military schools of the Orcish Empire, the Destroytian Republic, the Kingdom of Icefia and Thalmeret managed to maintain the faith barely in those years.  In the Grean Republic, Iott managed to completely cleanse the faith of Dourvan.

The high cleric is Klaror Farmountain, who now freed from Iott's dominance is putting together a plan to rebuild the religion.

Although not well known, the most powerful agent of Dourvan is the Grandmaster of the Knight of the Lord Protector.  Erik Mantel fought to defend Pacyr from Iott's attacks for decades and succeeded in preventing Iott from taking control of any significant areas of the nation.  A human now in his 70's, Erik will soon retire.

Tyrogatore (Neutral [lawful] Neutral)

After surviving trials for a decade due to the plot against the religion by numerous others, Tyrogatore came out the other side needing to rebuild.  Under the guidance of high cleric Haas Tuskenhammer, the religion did rebuild.

The quasi deity lingers, but its role and existence are threatened by Lakius' new focus on Seatending.

Its high cleric is not known to the world and the known followers spend the lives under in far out to sea.

Smofarf (Neutral Good)

For more than two decades, the religion of Smofarf performed a balancing act as the power and reputation of magic waxed and waned.  Caught between the nations for which the religion was most aligned; the Dwarven Kingdom and Iott, and an ideology that did not quite match the religions.  Faced with a beloved apprentice that had turned cultist.  The destruction of the circle of magic at once weakened arcane magic and yet made the clerics of Smofarf more valuable and in demand.

Through all of it, the religion never lost too much influence or many followers.  Iott and Kallark would shoulder the blame far more than Smofarf.  The dwarven kingdom viewed the faith as having calmly guided it through a turbulent time.  The other religions were wary to alienate the god of magic when magic was ascendant, and then wary when magic was at a premium.

Only in the days after Kallark's death did the leaders of the religion grew nervous.  The backlash that began could do great harm to the faith and to trust in arcana.  Despite his efforts, Smofarf could not prevent the surge of anti-arcanist sentiment that swept into the Counsil meeting of 816.

Upon the death of Kallark, the religion took a strategic move.  The long time high cleric, Hothmur Mountainmagic, stepped down.  In his place a cleric who was more a crafter than arcanist came to lead the religion.  Although the move was approved by almost all the clerics, the choice was not.  Toomes Stonespell was widely considered the greatest crafting cleric in the mountains and specialized in the construction of kegs, mugs and the like; but he was not of clan Mountainmagic.  The conclave have the honor instead to Koris Mountainmagic, a crafter of statues.

The current ruler of Iott and longtime Theurge of the nation is Mikael Targarten, a cleric of Smofarf.  He has the unenviable job of leading a hated nation.

Korekuta (The Collector) (Chaotic [neutral] Neutral)

The entity known as the collector rose from obscurity to the rank of demi power in near record time.  With arcana and magic on the rise, it quickly gained a following.  Travel and trade were prominent in the early days of Iott's reign.  Magic was everywhere in the days leading up to the Collector's ascension and permeated all facets of life in the early 790's.  It was a perfect brew for the Collector's rise.

Beginning in Port Talp, it spread through seafaring trade sailor's stories.  The herald of The Collector went to all corners armed with items for trade and word of his patron.  Iott supported the use of everyday arcana to improve lives and promoted the Collector as a way to distribute those basic items.  Aided by a Counsil the seemed more helpful than usual when it came to new powers, the religion had one of the smoothest rises a scholar could remember.  Only Nomagrok wouldn't allow the faith into its borders.

The years of Iott's reign were good ones, as were the years of Iott's decline.  Few blamed the Collector for hard times, since the faith was explicitly not interested in politics or power over others in the way Iott was.  It declared no rules or laws about items and was willing to trade any regardless of what the item did.  It only obeyed local laws that it could not avoid and opened spoke against, without taking action against, laws which in anyway restricted trade or magic items.

The faith came into a rivalry with Tommimao, both expressing similar tenants of faith in like of travel and society open to the use of anything.  Its biggest opponent was Drunnbar, but numerous others were not fond of the new religion.  Seeking to build bridges, the religion took a turn and a chance near the end of the Reign of Iott.  In 814, it began to arm the enemies of Iott, Kallark, and Sutyr.  With the collection of magic items it had amassed, it was able to tip the scales in several major encounters as the Reign came to an end.  Most notably at the Sutyr's last stand, the Battle of Mount Ila'Alnar.

There are now two dozen shrines and two temples to Korekuta.  His agents travel the world with items to trade.  High Cleric Natsu is known to all merchant companies of any note.  The Herald, now a Nipit named Malchia, is known to make the most important and largest trades and acquisitions.

LaVash'Ki (Chaotic Neutral)

The religion was dealt a heavy blow at the beginning of the Reign of Iott when the Iottians devastated the pirate fleet that was blockading the Destroyian Republic.  Lyla followed that up by orchestrating the separation of the Shelleshe from Kathow-tio-Horari.  The Grean Navy reasserted itself, further restricting pirates of all types.  The elevation of the Collector and the arrival of the quasi deity Ritvali added more challenges to the religion.

For more than a decade, the religion tried to set up a new theocracy of pirates in the isles, but it failed.  The return of the rule of the Golden Mother was another blow, as the dragons that had once been willing to trade with the pirates now refused.  In Ekarude, a tower appeared they seemed to be the home of ancient Horarians, who were not fond of pirates.

All of this meant that LaVash'Ki was nearing dissolution going into the Counsil meeting of 816.  The death of Kallark offered a last chance to maintain relevance.  The high cleric was strung up and blamed as the scape goat for the debacles of the last twenty years.  The new high cleric, Admiral Izika Dramuri was a strange fellow with reptilian eyes and forked tongue to go along with his Horarian features.

The best known faithful member of the religion is the only pirate of note that has survived the last thirty years.  Cillian The Quick Gale was a one time corsair, but always embraced Lavash'Ki.  Unlike others, he stayed with his faith and was declared a pirate.  He avoided capture for twenty years until Iott's fall when he was able to be aggressive again.

Tommimao (Chaotic Good [neutral])

The religion of Tommimao suffered greatly during the Reign of Iott.  The Iottians advocated for magical travel, at odds with Tommimao.  They sought arcane methods of pathfinding, not the traditional mundane ones used by the faith.  They were rigid in their thinking and strict in their laws, all the opposite of what Tommimao's faith believed.  Most damaging, they created situations in which the clerics of Tommimao could not help but try to intervene.

Perhaps it was only the lack of organization that allowed the religion to survive at all.  Iott would look for temples and large gatherings to destroy, and they were not to be found.  Lyla would have a high cleric killed, and another would pop up swiftly.  There was no nation to which the religion was attached that could be taken over by Iott.

While the clerics suffered, the tenants of the religion flourished.  Those that hated Iott's reign had several options, all of which could lead to Tommimao.  The first was two flee and hide, which required travel and exploration.  The second was to intervene in Iott's agenda.  The third was to get inebriated.

The current high cleric is Jeff Alonvere.  Likely the least powerful high cleric in the world.  He is known to always be high, either on pipeweed or on his magical metal clicking wings.

Although retired, the most famous current Pathfinder is Piper Gnoteway, the ice gnome credited with finding the best paths across the northern ice cap.
