Marius should've taken Rubius' advice and given up his evil ways.

After Marius disappears, the arcanaloth looks around at all of you with an exasperated expression. “My name, shortened, is Fziret. Let us agree that it is in none of our best interests to be condemned to eternal imprisonment here. You keep your swords away and I don’t use any chain lightning?”

Hello Fziret - Lets cut to the chase.  Do you know how to destroy whatever this spell launcher thingy is?

Hello Fziret - Lets cut to the chase.  Do you know how to destroy whatever this spell launcher thingy is?
Shaking his head in disgust, “I am to assist you in bypassing the areas of the temple where the cultists are working to free the Nameless One by other means. Marius is certain that if they succeed in purging Dakon of nearly all life the Nameless one would break free, but not all the factions of the cult are convinced or willing to wait as it is the work of years.”

He then produces four crystals, blue, red, clear and a cloudy grey.

“These are keys to each of the elemental reliquaries. Within you will find shards of pure elemental power. I know you must take them to the device they are using to send the Oni through the rift, but I have no idea how you are to use them.  Each of these doorways leads to one of the reliquaries. We are currently in the earth portal though you can start in any of the four. While you are away I will deal with the next ogre patrol that returns.”

So - after we are done with that.  How do we use tha to destroy the rift?

I'm sure at this point that we where manipulated, and that we should close the gate as well.

This is a question for the arcanoloth.

He replies: “I know nothing of how to close the rift or destroy the device they are using to send the Oni through the rift. They believe, and as Marius desires to stop them, they are most likely correct, that if they purge this world of Oni it will weaken the barriers that keep the Nameless One imprisoned.

Keeping in mind that I only care that you succeed so that I may avoid further suffering, I urge you to use only the portals and the keys. If you wander into the other levels of the Temple you will encourage Tanari, abominations and at the lowest levels the most powerful servants of the Nameless One.

So you don't know how to destroy the device, just here to help us do it?
